I would pick UT at Austin. One of the best publin universities in the US, seems to be in a good area. It's a large school so you'll be able to pursue almost any major you desire and will have a lot of academic support

You've got to ask yourself if you want to be thousands of miles away from your family or close.

A huge amount of students transfer closer to home after the first or second year because they don't like being so far away from their family.

You said you have a lot of family in Texas, so UT could be your home away from home.

Otherwise, I would say USC. It's a great school, will challenge you academically and they have great sports teams for your viewing pleasure.

Depends what you want to study honestly.

USC is far from the best you can find in the U.S.

A lot of things to consider....

Are your parents willing to afford to send you to USC/USF? Both are really good schools, but also pretty expensive... If they are okay with it, I'd definitely consider coming to California. :D

UT Austin is a decent school - not as good as USC/USF, but still it's decent. If you're not comfortable being "alone" at a school, but still want to leave the Middle East, go here...

If you're not ready to live so far away from family, which is completely understandable, go to the school in Dubai. Not sure on how well it ranks academically, but if you get home sick easily, how can you concentrate on your studies...

Personally though, I'd pick USF. It's around 5-10k cheaper, and I feel you'd fit in much better than in USC. SF is such an awesome place too :D You'll have a lot of fun!

I live about 45 minutes away from UBC. A lot of my friends go to UBC and they love it. The school is always having events and the atmosphere is awesome. Tons of parties and it has established itself as a presitgous school worldwide.

My friend went to UBC and she hates it. She can't leave because no American college would accept enough of her credits. If you choose a university, be sure to have backups in the same country in order to be able to transfer.

...As where UBC is the best in Canada.

If you're looking for the best education, you'd better go with UBC. The rankings and the numbers don't lie.
