Hey everyone, it's time for you guys to apply for your spot on the Sythe.org Community Development Team! These applications are open to anyone, staff or non-staff, so everyone put one in. We are looking for users who are creative, experimental, persistent, and willing to participate.

What is the Community Development Team?

Qualities we are looking for:

• Creativity: We are looking for people who are going to be constantly thinking up new, and sometimes crazy ideas. No more reservations. We need people who can think outside the box, and outside of what we already do on Sythe.
  
  
• Willingness: If someone has a crazy idea, it's your job as a fellow team member to figure out how to make it work. If you have doubts about the plan, don't try and shoot it down, work with them and figure out the best way to get it done. You have to be open to doing things.
  
  
• Not afraid of failure: If there is the chance that something could fail horribly and completely blow up in your face, do it anyways. If this group is to succeed in it's mission, we have to try everything and anything to get it done.
  
  
• Participation: If we're working on projects within the group, you must participate. The more we work together, the better the results; it is your duty to participate in each project to help accomplish the goal.

Why do you want to join the team?: I want to expand the community, make it more active, as I mainly stay in the community, so I want it to be more active. That is my passion of it. I want to help develop the community to be a larger part of the forum.
Do you consider yourself a creative person?: I am creative, but I'm not like "Idea here! Thirteen of them!" No, in all honesty, I am like someone pitches out an idea, I debate with them on how it could be approved. Maybe throw an idea here or there.
What can you bring to the team?: I can bring some good ideas/help. I can also bring more activity into projects/tournaments if we have any.
How often are you on Sythe every week?: Once a day, unless the special occasion preventing me. Maybe 2 hours a day minimum, jumping on and off.
Do you have anything to add?: I've been around the community for awhile, and do leave some good ideas.

Why do you want to join the team?: I spend a lot of time on sythe, and I would love to be a part of the team that continues to develop the community in an upwards direction.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?: Yes I do.

What can you bring to the team?: Consistence - You will get the same amount of effort from me all the time. Hard working - I will work my tail off for the team and for sythe.

Different - I will be something different instead of being the same old thing, I will think out of the box. Availability - I am online at least 14 hours a day. Also, trustworthiness and honesty.

How often are you on Sythe every week?: way over 40 hours.

Do you have anything to add?: I am 20 years old which I think gives me a maturity advantage. I also, am at home all the time which gives me availability at any hours of the day.

 

Why do you want to join the team?: Well, I have nearly 5,000 posts, countless hours, and a lot of work invested in sythe. I would rather not see it fail and I want to do anything I can to help out.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?: I play music, I write, I do GFX when I have the time, and I am an ideals (but not an idealist) person. So yeah.

What can you bring to the team?: Pragmatism and realism along with a strong passion for sythe and a creative brain.

How often are you on Sythe every week?: I am moderately active.

Do you have anything to add?: I am an OGV, so there is no doubt that I have a love for Sythe and the want to help.

 

Why do you want to join the team?:I'd like to join the Community Development Team to get better involved with the community here at Sythe. I invest a lot of my free time on this forum and would love to be a part of the team helping this community grow.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:Creativity is my middle name, I'm full of new inspiring ideas and also like to share my input on ideas others have to share.

What can you bring to the team?:I can provide The Community Development Team with dedication to helping this community grow and strengthening it as a whole.

How often are you on Sythe every week?:I'm online for 4+ Hours on weekdays, and up to double that on weekends.

Why do you want to join the team?: I've been in Sythe forever for its user, helping them, teaching them, preventing scams, etc. And I love that, I love the community and I want it with new people.
Do you consider yourself a creative person?: I couldn't say, sometimes is the best term. But I am quite crazy and fun.
What can you bring to the team?: My time and dedication, my support and knowledge, everything of me.
How often are you on Sythe every week?: Every week? More like every day!

Why do you want to join the team?:

- I'm one person who is constantly aiming to better Sythe, from all perspectives and all market angles. I try my level best to partake in all discussions, and community events. I, as many others here share the same opinion that Sythe is in a decline, and needs a revitalisation.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:

- Yes. I can elaborate if need be.

What can you bring to the team?:

- I'm active daily, for countless of hours. My community and market experience exceeds those of a regular user. I was an Admin on another site for 2 years, that has and had a user base far greater than Sythe, black market too (retired 2 years ago).

- I'm diligent and capable, I know I would be an asset, and my ever present actions to better Sythe prove so.

How often are you on Sythe every week?:

- Daily, for 5-6 hours.

Why do you want to join the team?:

I want to try to get more involved with the community. I feel as if I don't get involved enough. This opportunity will let me bring new ideas to the community and also participate myself.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:

Yes but I'm not that really creative person that can bring you like 10 ideas in 1 day but I consider myself creative. I'm sure I can bring the team some ideas to get some of the inactive users to become more community-involved.

What can you bring to the team?:

I'm active (come on every day for 3-5 hours), dedicated, I like to talk to people here and there, and I will help in every way I can.

How often are you on Sythe every week?:

Every day for at least 3-5 hours.
So weekly about 21-35 hours.

Why do you want to join the team?: I would like to help Sythe expand and grow. I have come to love Sythe for the amazing community and great people on here, and would like for that spirit to continue for as long as possible.

Why do you want to join the team?: I would like to help sythe expand & grow to a lot more people,i first came to sythe for runescape accounts but now i know that the community is amazing! I would like to help sythe stay like this for a long time!! Also i spent 3-5 hours on forums a night.

Why do you want to join the team?: I am actively posting on the forums, and I genuinely enjoy our community here at Sythe. I've applied once in the past, and after 400 or so posts feel as though I have created relationships with others on the forums.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?: Yes, I'm currently working on an undergraduates in the arts. Specifically for become a college age pastor, I've worked at the University of Washington campus by advertising black light, d.j. sponsored dance parties for The City Church. And I'm currently working on an intern cook off for our interns class of 2012-2013. In short, I'm a planner and have a healthy amount of charisma to turn my imagination into reality in the most responsive ways possible.

What can you bring to the team?: Experience in working to please a wide array of people, from 4-5 year old children to adults. A significant amount of time, and effort to alongside. Also, a subjective attitude towards my authority, which is key in manufacturing success among teammates. This wouldn't be a "la dee da" type of experience for me, this would be a set goal to reach out and expand the Sythe community and raise people to climb aboard and continue furthering this team.

How often are you on Sythe every week?: Seven days a week, actively posting over an 8-12 hour span on average.

Do you have anything to add?: If you find me suitable for this job, then I will serve without question. I will use every resource available to promote our community, simply because there are people like you and I who would truly enjoy the discussions and resources that are at hand here.

Why do you want to join the team?:

I have been a Sythe user for the past three years, however I have yet to actually contribute something back to the site other than financial donations.
Being a member of this team would allow me to see some of the inner workings on Sythe, where ideas are thrashed about and born, and ultimately implemented. I believe this is a fantastic opportunity for me to give something back to the Sythe community.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:

I believe myself to be a highly creative person. My role (IRL) involves caring for the acutely mentally ill. It is in environments such as these that not only do you sometimes have to be quite off the wall, innovative and abstract, but also be willing to try out new ideas and approaches to get the desired result. I'm also a firm believer that even if something is working well, there is no reason why it can not be improved upon. I'm always looking at how things can be improved, even if that involves starting over again from scratch. Everything has to be fit for purpose.

What can you bring to the team?:

The skills which I can bring to the team are firstly, open mindedness. I am always willing to read into ideas in detail, no matter how obscure or abstract. I have excellent communication skills, and I am always willing to hear everyone's perspective and view. As a final year Degree student, my analytical skills, including critical analysis, are very good. My individual contributions to the team will be well thought out, and also practical. I believe overall that my most valued attribute is always listening. You have to respect the opinions of your colleagues, feedback to them, and vise versa.

How often are you on Sythe every week?:

I am on daily, alongside doing my degree work. I would say that I can offer the team upwards of 10 hours per week (2 hours a day as an average, let's say)

Do you have anything to add?:

I believe that I know a little bit of everything related to Sythe. Although I have no specialist area as some users do, I take a general interest in all aspects of the site. I believe that, if selected, my skills and values would be a strong addition to the team, increasing it's overall effectiveness.

Why do you want to join the team?:
After stopping market activities, I have become active in sections such as off topic, personal support and RS2 general; doing so has made me realise what a diverse community Sythe has to offer. I think the encouragement the Community Development Team can offer will be extremely beneficial to the site, and I'd love to be a part of it.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:
My creativeness definitely lies in my ideas and imagination. While I'm not the best at designing things or naming things - I can come up with practical solutions for different situations. Spending a year doing a business management course has definitely enhanced this.

What can you bring to the team?:
Endless ideas, whether they're practical or just plain crazy, I will never run dry of new ideas. Brainstorming for any given topic is something I can easily do. I am enthusiastic about things which are important to me, and helping Sythe's community is definitely something I would be passionate about. I can look at both sides of a situation, and think about what would ultimately be the 'happy medium' - something I think would be useful for introducing new ideas to the site.

I'm easy to talk to, full of ideas and willing to learn.

How often are you on Sythe every week?:
I'm on Sythe minimum 2 hours day, although usually more. Weekends are easy for me, and I'm online most of the time then.

So it's just an advertising team?

 

Not necessarily, if you re-read the initial sentence the goal of this team is. To promote growth in the forums, one of which ways includes encouraging Sythe's members to promote sponsored events orchestrated by the Community Development Team and generally spread the word about what Sythe has to offer. EDIT: That's my definition, hope it's accurate enough as a tl;dr for this fellow!

 

Why do you want to join the team?:

I know Sythe can be so much more. It is an incredibally successful site, and it's focused soley around Runescape. Imagine what it could be if it had community involvement and intrest of even two or three more games.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:

Yes, I have quite a few ideas up my sleeve, but the suggestion forums isn't really the right place for all of them as it often times just gets shut down and neglected. This seems like the perfect place to turn outrageous, yet creative ideas into solutions to bring activity to the forums.

What can you bring to the team?:

I have an immense knowledge of various games, plus I know for the most part how Sythe "works".

How often are you on Sythe every week?:

Too much.

Glad to see people taking initiative, interested in the sites future if / when RS dies out.

 

Why do you want to join the team?:

Because I thrive on proving myself over and over again. I also like the site and the people on it and would like to see it keep growing over time

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:

Extremely I not only try to see that good, but bad in each suggestion made and I give points to others. I also have had alot of ideas.

What can you bring to the team?:

So asking what can I bring eh? I worked hours on a suggestion of advertising just for the beginning! I was going to continue putting in hours each week keeping up with it if staff wanted. I have already proven I am ready for the workload and can do what is needed.

You guys haven't even seen anything but the beginning of what I can do and I had already gotten many compliments for that alone. I can bring what a team of innovative thinkers need. I am what a team like this needs ^_^

• I've always wanted to help out on Sythe, which is why I was an OMM and was chosen for moderator. I'd love to be part of the team.

Do you consider yourself a creative person?:

• Indeed, I've worked on numerous websites, and I always come up with ingenious solutions to big and small problems alike.

What can you bring to the team?:

• I can bring my expertise not only as an ex-moderator but as an ex-OMM and a fairly active member of the community.

• Every damn day, from morning to evening.

• I think x339 is a great guy and it's nice to see he's a leader. I also think this will help the community alot.

 

Why do you want to join the team?: I love helping Sythe grow and enjoy be part of the community. I enjoy interacting with other users in the community and I have spare time.
Do you consider yourself a creative person?: Yes, I have lots of ideas for features in programs I make so I think I'm creative.
What can you bring to the team?: Knowledge on creating forum activity, possibly new programs for the community? A bit of fun and creativity without being so mainstream.
