    Unless of course the perpetrators are the botnet owners lol.

    Is there any way to block these attacks (e.g only allow x amount of bandwith per connection,etc??)

    If it's a Ddos then each connection would be unique (I think?) so that wouldn't work.

    Pretty much, we're fucked until they stop. Surprised sythe doesn't have advanced ddos prot.

    The site already has good DDoS protection, I don't think I've experienced anything like this for at least a few months. Hopefully it will stop soon, whoever is doing it.

    Some buttons such as post and the sythe logo are disappearing and it only appears an X on them.

    I must say it's not doing a very good job as far as I can see.

    Anyway some of our other servers have come off their null routes now, so I will move the site back on to the normal set up.

    Thanks for all the info on whats going on ^_^ I all so don't bleave this is the only site being attacked as a few movie sites like channle1 are down atm with the same errors.

    Site's been much better today, hardly and lag or errors at all. Seems the DDoSing has stopped too.

    I'd say there's already been a fair amount spend on DDoS protection, it was way worse a few years back in 2010 and before. Yesterday's DDoS was something I hadn't experienced in ages. The protection that's up now I would rate 8/10. I'm not really sure you can get protection against all scale DDoS attacks without spending a small fortune.

    Who would waste money on attacking a website................... Especially one like this. What I am asking is how much are they spending to attack us?
