Massive Runescape War

I'm not really sure how massive they're talking about, but I definitely want to check this out when it happens. Just thought I'd share to the community.

Looks like it's going to be a pretty dead event. It's a good idea, but 6 people on each team means it's going to be a major let down.

It doesn't seem like a huge war, but it may have potential.

 

It could be a lot of fun if people actually participate and work together. (and more people show up)

 

I remember attending that! Those were the good times.

On topic, the amount of people attending that event is extremely little. I'd be surprised if people even showed up.

 

This isn't that huge of a war . When I was back really into pure clanning, I remember the 100 vs 100s of pures in p2p clan wars, or even in the wildy (way back when) where all you would see is barrages and just a bunch of people throwing chins and your computer would completely lag out unless you had some $1.5k+ PC.

Good times, however the community isn't able to do things like that anymore, everyone would just cheat.

 

i remember back in the day when Jmods would be in DI and DS and would come up and watch.

 

Off topic, but in regards to JohnK's post, I'm hoping that 2006Scape will be able have the right community mindset to recreate some amazing early 2000 pking events, such as in the ^^^ YT post.

OT: I have a feeling there will be more looters than pkers.

I have a conspiracy theory for you all to contemplate: massive lure?

Obviously they are going to dish out some cheap equipment, even make it a regular thing, but on the large scale of things, over time when/if they attract more attention and it gets more popular they might find people fighting in their own, expensive gear... which the team conspiracy leaders can just pile?

Just a thought.

They can't even class this as big if there is a limit with the amount of people on each team. If they want a real war, let us have a 700x700
