Recently I acquired a $90 PlayerAuctions credit...The time has come that I want to cash it in..but I'm unsure as to what I should buy. My only account I have is my maxed range tank. With all the BS about tanks being ruined in the EOC, I wonder if it's time to move on and buy a new account...or should I just buy gold for my tank? If I should get a new account, what type should I get?

Just buy gold. Don't try to predict what types of accounts will be better post EOC as you could be quite wrong. You can always resell the gold later also.

I agree with Jack, just purchase GP. Accounts aren't really safe either, you don't want to purchase the account and have it stolen from you once you've worked on it and put money on it. PA can only make accounts so safe, it's just like using a MM on Sythe.

Agreed with BSGP for the most part, technically it couldn't hurt to look into another account but not primarily for a back up plan for the release of EoC. Jagex will most likely make the necessary tweaks to allow tanks to benefit as much as any other account. That I'm faithful about, and honestly $90 won't get you a desirable account from a trusted seller such as N4no so. It could also be a wise suggestion to buy gold now as it's so inflated. If Jagex's up and coming detection software nails bots, then gold will begin to increase.

    Don't ya mean deflated? :p
If the price of gold has inflated, it means the price of it has gone up which is not the case. The second bit is true though, if bots start getting nailed then the supply will decrease and if anything, the demand will in fact increase for gold with EOC bringing more people to the game.

Inflation is the correct word to use, where as deflation is the incorrect word to use. In Economics, inflation means a substantial rise in the general level of prices (e.g. partyhats) related to an increase in the volume of money (e.g. rsgp) and resulting in the loss of value of currency (e.g. .45/1M and decreasing). Deflation simply means a fall in general price level e.g. partyhats lowering in the G.E. or a contradiction of credit and available money e.g. accounts with maxed money stacks being banned, thus removing mass quantities of rsgp existant amongst accounts in-game. You raised an good point though, EoC should naturally cause the price of gold to raise for the reason you mentioned above, and also because pots/food should be consumed by more players, etc.

Well in PA you can sort out the accounts according to seller feedbacks, so purchase (if you want an account) from someone with maybe 40+ feedback with some account sales, and it should be fine
