New FAQ has been rolled out!

The new FAQ that's been long in the making has been rolled out!

Although there is still work to be done I thought it was complete enough to take over the old FAQ. There are still many more questions to add and a credits post to be created (so I can remove credits from answers) but with 64 questions answered it was more than enough to make it official.

I'm still looking for feedback (order of questions, order of posts, organization, spelling, grammar, random edits) as well as more questions. If you've got anything please continue to use: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1440877

Oh yea. I'll be throwing together a credits post sometime soonish and then I'll be doing some math and stuff to figure out who won fun ranks.

How about you see if you can get Govind or someone to iFrame it from something Wiki Based so that you don't have to look after it all the time. Looking after a wiki is easy enough - if anything goes wrong just jump back a version.

I'd rather keep it on the site. I think I am going to make a quick program that will do formatting for me, though.

Why is the FAQ in a dead section?

Edit: The FAQ itself looks rather good, I just don't think it'll get the attention in which it deserves & needs.

 

Awesome! This should clear up a lot of questions that the newcomers may have.

 

It fits best in that section. I could move it now that I think about it since the link at the top is typed to that thread but I think it's good where it is. We can start linking it in more places in the future.

Looks good. Although it should be a sticky on the Community General forum, imo.

 

In that case, make sure there's an obvious link at the top of the FAQ linking to a thread where there's a template for submitting edits or improvements. The whole FAQ is pretty community driven and making sure it stays that way is pretty important to keep it comprehensive.
