Will do. Maybe you can learn a thing or two from Wei Su. He use to use this site before you know?

I disagree with you. I have a huge personal belief where I believe that encouragement and positive feedback actually motivates people to work harder. I do mention in my feedback criticisms but generally I prefer to stick to the positives. Yes, the staff do need to know where they go wrong, but they need to know where they go right too. Also, your comments about my "Dick Sucking" are ridiculous. I take this same approach with anyone I meet on the internet whether a newcomer or the owner.

Well just because things at Powerbot are done differently generally doesn't mean Sythe needs to take the same approach. For a start, I generally here Ex-Powerbot members mention that the community is much better here at Sythe. Anyways with the administrators, what exactly do you expect them to do when there work is behind the scenes? When they ban I.Ps or award TwCs, they apply the changes, but they're not going to brag about it so everyone knows they're doing their job.

So this isn't the only post you're dick sucking in? Damn you must be a professional. Go over to Powerbot I can guarantee you that 100% of the moderators over there are better than here. N4no and Firez and a few others are the only exceptions that could really make it at Powerbot. Plus they only have like 6 moderators, compared to the 21 or so here. They have a 100x bigger player database than here. I'll give you a hint, it's because they keep everyone happy, and the administrators actually do there work.

That's how bad parents act. All they do is compliment and compliment there kids and tell them they have nothing wrong with them. What happens, that kid grows up to be an arrogant fucktard that thinks he's untouchable. Nobody has told him any different, and he thinks anybody else that says different is a liar and an idiot who shouldn't be trusted.

Bit of a mirror moment, don't you think?

If it's of any interest to you, Jagex has publicly called out Powerbot, and sadly there is a lawsuit mounting.

I would not be so quick to burn your bridges here...

You barely left any true criticism (which by the way, is the real helpful things in any feedback. And to put it to comparison, a musician won't ever improve if all you say to them is "good job"), and when you did it was extremely weak and made it seem as if it weren't important.

Seriously you could have summed up nearly all the staff's feedback as "good job".

9 posts and you already got it figured out huh, go back to powerbot. While i dont agree 100% with things that go on here the shit you are talking is outrageous. Honestly you are obviously butthurt over a ban you received on a previous account, there is no way in less than 2 weeks you have come up with this mass of garbage when you have 0 community involvement. Go back to powerbot where the forums arent moderated for shit, where anyone can flame away excessively and where scammers are even MORE rampant than they are here. You wont be missed, in the mean time ill try and figure out who your vading . Great post Brendan, while i dont agree 100% its obvious you took alot of time to make it and the staff here enough negatives already. Sythe, sometimes im am in awe of your patience with fuckheads like this guy good job .
Agreed, the positivity of your post Brendan is refreshing but I dont believe for a second you have absolutely NOTHING negative to say about ANY of the staff and their decisions. Positive reinforcement is great but this is exactly what people were talking about in the spam forum thread, this is too much.. this is brown nosing. I just have a hard time buying the entire post you made, i feel if you let out the entirety of what you feel about staff and their decisions it would make you much more of an asset to the community. Constructive criticism from a nice guy such as yourself would mean that much more. Speak your mind

Not at all. I treat everyone else as nicely as I would treat a good friend. Maybe some of your staff should learn the same. Jagex won't win, Wei Su is smart and he knows just about everything there is to know about legal actions. I can say with confidence that in a Jagex vs. Powerbot case Powerbot will most definitely come out on top. I still don't see how a site with only 6 moderators and 100x more members can run so smoothly with 100x more on there plate.

For someone who was just talking about how brendan is an asskisser you sure seem to have your nose weiiiii far up wei su's ass. (see what i did there) Seriously, Powerbot has 0 community i would know.. i used it before i came to sythe. You are flat out either a ban evader or some completely over opinionated dumbass who seems to think they can figure out the entirety of a site in less than 1-2 weeks. So which is it, are you ban evading or completely omnipotent in your knowledge of all that goes on? My bets on ban evader

Powerbot has a simply awful community full of pretentious assholes and flamers, this forum is mature in comparison.

Well I am not convinced it does run as smoothly as you claim.

But in short, Powerbot offers people such as yourself a chance to make money without doing anything. They offer a free bot. By contrast Sythe.org is only a market: We offer people a fair place to trade -- as fair as we can make it.

Powerbot don't need to do much to keep people happy. If, for example, you ran a burger restaurant and started giving out free burgers, then it would not matter if you failed to provide adequate seating or a quiet enjoyable environment for your patrons, people will come for the free burgers. By contrast we give nothing away for free. If you want to make money on sythe.org then you have to work for it.

I believe if/when Powerbot is forced to shut down its bot, the community will likely dissolve in a matter of days. It is held together by the free bot.

Further, there is very little chance they will win the lawsuit. Jagex has millions in their warchest and Powerbot very likely does violate their legal rights in some way. Remember that Glider lost their suit against Blizzard for a bot which was technically not dissimilar. I have heard that Powerbot is based in the UK, and therefore is immune somehow from litigation. It may be true that they are based in the UK, but this does not make them immune. Far from it.

Yes they don't have many moderators and there is a larger player base (mostly only people that log on to check scripts however). Also look at all of the spam, etc. Sythe is a more "upper class" forum for sure. There is no such thing as too many moderators.

You guys don't know that. I have never used there bot and never will. I strictly go to Powerbot for the community because the people there are hilarious, and for the trading. Any huge site you go to will have rule breakers, it's just the way you deal with them. I personally respect the way Powerbot deals with the rule breakers, and I wouldn't break a rule there. If you're saying a site with millions of members isn't going to have spam, you're out of your mind. I'm done with this because it's obvious you guys already have your minds made up, but I'd strongly recommend for you to take a look at how Powerbot operates.

So he is a lawyer with a hobby that involves coding bots for an MMORPG? i am sure you're 15 and your only experience with the legal system is visiting your father in prison. Because to know everything there is to know about legal actions is impossible. You would have to know the code for both the US and the UK, considering Jagex is now a company held by a US firm. Then you would have to know all of the precedences set and then you'd have to be able to draft all the legal documentation and then you still have to actually go to court. Chances that he can do all of this are none. I can promise you that. Even the best lawyers, at the top of their game have to do research to win cases. They're multi-millionaires. This guy owns a runescape bot.

On topic: Brendan you're nice in these - to the point where it can be construed as brown nosing. I think you're an asset to the community and I believe your philosophy of positive reinforcement is not a detriment. What I am getting at though is that I don't think it really has much of a benefit to anyone.

Well if you have an active SL, then you are working behind the scenes.

I don't know either, because we don't have one.

This statement shows how utterly clueless you are on forum management

I suggest you put a cork in it.

Yeah everyone mods the same section. Do you realize how stupid that even sounds? And the staff aren't here to bandwagon agree with each other all the time either.

His ideas aren't bad but his presentation is horrible and he likes to argue for the hell of it (much like a brick wall).

This is a bit late, but personally feedback like this is one of the things that keeps me going. If I'm doing anything wrong either I'm aware or it's made aware fairly quickly. And don't get me wrong I would love critical feedback.

Why don't you quit complaining that someone put effort into feedback/"pats on the back"/appreciation for the volunteers who spend their time maintaining the site and make your own feedback if you feel that way.
