Second this, I've said before; Shoop definitely doesn't get as much recognition as he deserves.

Also, Superman, video, Dialatic & Sypherz doing epicly with spam/scam reports.

I just want to take the time to express my gratitude to Sythe/Richard for personally helping me with my homework. Not many website owners that i'm apart of would take the time to help someone with an issue of this statue. I'm pretty impressed with his response and how fast he did it.

On another note, i'm highly disappointed in the other staff. I reported someone for hijacking my thread, which is in the rules, and no action was taken against him, most likely because he's an ex mod. Regardless of his reputation to the site he should be punished accordingly. The fact he was not shows me the lack of involvement and commitment towards the task asked of them.

In conclusion, Richard, thank you for your help.

When you report someone is the report not sent somewhere the entire team can view it?

 

Yes, but they don't get done instantly. I can't see your report, so either no one has got to it yet, or it hasn't been moved to the report a spammer archive.

 

Fair enough, although 5 hours for a spam report to be completed seems a bit dilatory.

 

Spam reports are generally for non urgent issues. If something is urgent feel free to PM a mod.

 

superman rocks!!!!!!! I have been trying to find proof that this user was a well known blackhat for weeks now and could find no proof linking them. I told superman this not only did he find proof they were the same person he banned them. This guy is a awesome mod and needs to be promoted... He litterly kept many many more from getting scammed.. This blackhat has stolen billions from sythe users

I would just like to thank n4n0 for helping me get situated with everything from my recent unban. Helpful, friendly guy.

 

Most the staff is doing a great job but i wanted too mention specifically that VIDEO is doing a fantastic job of catching people in lies in their pardons and ban disputes. I have literally seen dozens of cases where the person in the dispute might pull the wool over on a couple of other mods eyes and video will come in with some absurd old case of the applicant breaking the rules that the applicant failed to mention changing the minds of the mods who have previously supported said unbanning/pardon . His familiarity with seemingly all the individual cases in amazing and definitely deserves recognition. Great job detective video .

 

-Ryan - Not gonna lie, when you were first promoted, it struck me as a bit of a shock. Yes you were in OGV and were a longstanding member of the community, but I hadn't really seen you around much, at least not in comparison to your activity a couple months back as a normal user. However, I was completely proven wrong. You're kicking ass in the RS Section, locking threads, preventing spam, and tackling quite a few reports. Keep up the good work Ryan.
Cosrob - I've got to say you get a LOT of the dirty work done, in a good way if that makes sense. When people post disputes and such, you're never afraid to further look into a situation and find any extra info that should be in the pardon/dispute. Detective Cosrob, keep up the good work.
Dialatic - Lay off the reports Mike, you're TOO active <3. In all seriousness though, as earlier posted on this thread, you really did hit the ground running with your promotion and your activity hasn't dwindled since. You're destroying both Scam & Spam reports daily as well as are helping out loads on MSN when people need your help. Not to mention you're also extremely involved in the community with your Tinychats and such. Keep up the hard work Mike, I'm sure it'll take you places.
Frenzy - Sandy, I love you but it seems like you've gotten fairly inactive in comparison to when you first were placed onto the staff team. I know you've got school and work and you've got others in your section who help out, but it wouldn't hurt to see you posting on a topic here or there. Not saying you're a bad mod at all, just saying it would be nice to see your name now and again .
Malakadang - Same goes to you Malaka. You were also insanely active when you first were placed onto the staff team. If I'm not mistaken, you're busy with something IRL at the moment that's put you at a bit of inactivity? I've seen your name on a report here or there, however despite what I said earlier you do seem to take down a few spam reports, so good job with that. It's also nice to see you're willing/available to help out at any time, especially with that case that I had with Stui. Hope to see you going full force soon.
Pockets - I'm surprised you've still got the time to get on Sythe. As we've spoken about it, these past months have been rough, and I'm surprised you're still attempting to make time for Sythe. Good for you man, not many have the strength to juggle all the things it seems like you are. Hopefully things will make a turn for the better and you'll be back working as hard as this community knows you can.
Shoop - Both pre and post promotion, you are an asset to the community. Both you and Zerkerfist have some of the most amazing posts that I have seen in the Support Center. Mainly talking about Personal Support because judging from your posts it shows that you actually care and have insight on many of the problems that are posted there daily. As for the rest of the section, you seem to have it maintained quite well, keep up the good work.
Superman -Major kudos to you Superman. You took the criticism that you were handed these past few months about your attitude and from what I've seen have made a complete change. You're always chatting around on MSN and judging by many of the posts on this thread, looks like you're helping out a shit-ton. It's nice to see that you took what people were throwing at you and used it to change how you were for the better. Keep it up in the Spam & Scam sections, your activity at this current time is great.
sypherz - I see you posting around quite a bit on many of the official business stuff related to Sythe, disputes, pardons, etc. You're also doing a good job dealing with the Spam Forum/that section in general and keeping it under control with Trippin. You guys make a good duo. I wish I had more to say but I've been pretty inactive myself, besides market stuff, so I'm sorry if this wasn't helpful feedback. Also, I could also be mistaken about this as you could already be doing it, but maybe try posting around on various guides/topics in the RS section.
They be trippin -Alpha mod wolf pack over here. As stated earlier, it seems like you and Sypherz work well together. I feel like your activity may have decreased slightly the past few weeks, but it's nothing major. Same thing to you as stated for Sypherz, I don't really go into your guys' section much. I think what you should start doing though is posting more on introductions, simply because it's your section and it would be nice to see your name on more of the introductory threads.
Tmoe -Haven't really seen you much lately. I see you in SF here and there, and tackling some Spam reports, but that's about it. I don't know you personally though so I can't state as to whether there's a reason for the lessened activity in comparison to the weeks after your promotion however it's nice to see you on Tinychat and such, your community involvement is great.
Video - Honestly, amazing. I know that's crappy as far as feedback would go, but you're always posting on disputes, pardons, scam/spam reports, and you're posting around in almost every single section. I see you helping out in the market everywhere whether it be helping/alerting people of possible scams, or posting confirmations for people who need/want it. Your posts are also always of good quality, you don't every just post for the sake of posting. For example on disputes it's nice to see your reasons for supporting or not supporting and it seems as though you're also doing what Cosrob does when it comes to detective work. You're an amazing part of staff, keep up the good work Video.
Wulfspade1 -You destroy the RaSc section. There was a day where Jake and I combined posted about 25 reports on vaders/scammers/offsiters and you literally got to them within a minute of their posting. I'm almost afraid to know how insane yours or Dialatic's mod score is. You were and still are very community involved and are posting around all over the boards, keep up the good work Wulf.

Blupig -Don't really see you around much anymore. I'm not really in the software/programming sections which I know is all the stuff you're in to so I can't really help as far as feedback would go, however it would be nice to see you posting around on some of the community threads, not just the Spam Forum ones .
Clashfan -Haven't seen you in a while. If I'm not mistaken you used to come on IRC quite frequently, however I haven't been there in a while so I wouldn't know. It would be nice to see you pop up every now and then.
Djweasel -Matt, I know you're busting your ass off IRL while trying to maintain your duties on Sythe. I know you've got it rough and there's a lot that could be better in your life, but keep up the hard work as it's going to pay off. Just remember what I said about being smart about certain things , I'm here if you ever want to chat, haven't talked to you on Skype in a while so hopefully we can talk soon.
Karl -I also haven't spoken to you in a while but I've seen you posting around a LOT whether it be on community threads, SF, disputes, etc. The one real criticism I have for you is to not let things bother you so much. I know it's difficult cause I'm pretty hot-headed myself, but I think sometimes you let things that are stated about you or other staff members get under your skin and it pisses you off. I might just be miss-judging the posts but with that whole issue that was posted about you being a dick and such. I felt like you just let it bother you too much and you shouldn't because you do your job well. We'll have to catch up soon so you can fill me in on what's be going on with....yeah you know.
n4n0 -Ryan, congrats on the HMM promo. Still gonna have to kick your ass for that denial , but in all seriousness thanks for taking the time out to give me a "what to improve on" little talk. You've been helping me out a lot with quite a few situations in these past few weeks, and I thank you for them. I know I ask a lot of the questions but for the most part, you're patient and usually willing to help out. I've given you enough 1 to 1 feedback so you know how I feel about you and your position/standing on Sythe. Just remember that sometimes it won't kill you to lighten up in places other than the Spam Forum .
SuF -Sadly, I've never really even spoken to you personally before, however in the past months you've taken a LOT of initiative to further improve Sythe as a whole. With the fixing of the FAQ and the Market Redesign, you're really working hard to make changes for Sythe that will improve where the sites goes in the future. Keep up the hard work, don't let your activity fall because the site needs you.
MohtasaUnique -Tony, congratulations on the promotion! You've been part of the staff team for a while, and since your return + addition to staff of the graphics section, you've done a lot of work for the better. You brought new aspects to the graphics section that I believe has overall improved the section as well as it's activity. It's nice to see you as a part of upperstaff, and as I posted on your promo thread, I have no doubt that you're gonna be a great part of the Global team.

FireZ -I think you're a strong part of the administrative team, especially because it looks as though you make a lot of the big decisions when it comes to disputes and pardons. I see your name on most if not all major as well as minor disputes and pardons of well known or barely known members. You're an asset to the team because you keep up the activity that I believe many users like to see from someone of your standing.
Govind -The last I really saw of you was the restitutions system which you *I'm assuming from the thread regarding Finn's ebook* you suggested to Sythe. It was obviously a great idea, and it's nice to see so many users who were banned unjustly brought back to the community. It would be nice to see you around more though, maybe on Tinychat and such as well.
Matthew -Seems like people have had a few complaints about the donation system, and on those same terms many say that the improvement in the system over the past months/years are insane. Not sure what to say since I don't really see you around, but if you've got the time, it would be nice to see you posting around here and there. Not much, but similar to Richard who's going around posting on various topics, it would be nice to see one of the head administrators cracking some jokes here and there.
Nick -As shown by the passing of the HMM torch to n4n0, I'm going to assume it's safe to say you're busy with some things IRL. It's nice to see your name on disputes and such now and again, but I feel like you're most active in the suggestions forum which is cool because it seems most suggestions would need the input of an admin. The only thing I'd say work on is being more involved with the community, but hopefully we'll get to see you full force once again soon.
Sythe -As stated in my post about Matthew, I think in the past months/weeks you've become a LOT more community involved and it's great. It's nice seeing your name around not only for official business whether it be announcements or difficult scam reports, but in community/Spam Forum threads as well. Hopefully you'll keep it going!
Verts -It's nice to see that you respond to PMs, especially those which have absolutely nothing to do with Sythe. I've never personally spoken to you, but I've had talks with people about you and the general endpoint that these talks lead to is that as far as people who have a genuine car for the site and it's members and such, you really will go out of your way to make sure things are running smoothly and safely for everyone. You're a great part of the administrative team. Your activity also went up for a while in the past few weeks which was cool, hopefully it remains this way and we see your name popping up more often.

Gotta agree 100% with this, not just dozens, probably hundreds by now

I really appreciate this especially coming from you. It really means a lot to me because i know i've was an asshole to you and others before and i really regret that. Not to make an excuse but the reasons of my bad attitude had to do with a ton of rough stuff in real life that I dont really share online. Some things hit me hard mentally last year then again a couple months ago and I couldnt cope with it in real life so i escaped and projected my emotions on others here and especially on msn/irc. I realized during my vacation that I needed to mature up and face things irl and here which I'm still working on to be honest. Anyway i appreciate the feedback.

-Ryan - I'll be frank, what you did to get promoted or anything I have no idea. Though, that doesn't mean you're not doing a good job. The RS section is looking clean, you jump on Livehelp with n4n0 when you can and you're active across the site. Though remember every post you make reflects on all the staff now.

cosrob97 - It was nice seeing you re-promoted again man! It's not easy to find staff like you who are experts in finding things on people that other staff can't. I find you're one of those people who if they have something to say, they will say it. Keep it up, and good luck on your exams.

Dialatic - At the start of your promo you were bit of a dick to be honest, putting spam reports and everything aside I found your attitude a bit "wtf?"
Anyways, you've been reasonably ok at this moment in time, so keep at it. Though I see you online an awful lot, not that there's anything wrong with that, just don't spend your entire life on here. There's an outside world too.

Frenzy - You're activity's shooting down a bit lately Though don't ever put Sythe over your education/work.

malakadang - It's probably really difficult to be active on here with all the assignments you have to do at school. You still manage to jump on and run through some reports here and there. It's always nice to talk to you on MSN

Pockets - Hope things have been going good for you lately. I haven't seen you a lot if I'm honest.

Shoop - You're very active in the Support Centre and you can always hold your ground if someone is giving you shit for whatever reason. Your activity is very good too.

Superman - I'm not even going to bother with you anymore, you piss me off to shit. I saw your conversation with Kina recently, I have to admit you were really arrogant in that, you weren't even listening to what he had to say. If you have real life issues that are affecting you, then go and deal them in real life, not vent out your emotions on here.
Oh and, you keep asking people why you haven't been promoted to Global yet - Sort your attitude out and stop pissing people off, and then maybe something will happen.

sypherz - Probably one of most attractive sectionals at the moment You always get reports done (when there's any left for you) though I don't see you doing scammer reports a lot. However you are always in the high pardon section giving your opinions on pardons.

They be trippin - I don't what you mean when you say you're less active, you're probably one of the most active users on here man If you get trolls or whatever annoying you on MSN/Skype/Spam Forum or whatever, just ignore them, getting pissed off or worked up is exactly what they want you to be feeling, if you ignore them then they'll just go away.

Tmoe - The only place I see you is in the community and the spam forum, what's up?

video - Clearly one of the staff members who knows how to behave like one, but knows how to have fun at the same time You're probably one of the most active staff at the moment, particularly in the Market. It really wouldn't surprise me to see you promoted to Global soon, you have a very good idea of what you are doing. Keep it up man!

Wulfspade1 - It was really nice seeing you be given a third chance man, remember that PM a few months back? Anyways, you're super super active as always and you are very active in the community which is great. Get a staff intro up at some point.


Blupig - Your activity has gone way up these past few weeks, you're very active in Off-Topic and on MSN. Though it might go down as your exams draw nearer, either way I hope you stick around for a long time man

Clashfan - I haven't seen you a lot lately, though I know you're very busy with Uni at the moment. I see there's points where your activity goes up and others it goes down.

Djweasel - You've been more active lately, both on your iPhone and on your temporary laptop. You're always running through spam reports and are running through the disputes and high pardons when you get the chance. Now hurry up and get yourself a laptop ^_^

Karl - You've been posting more lately, which is great. I pretty much wrote what I wanted to say here on my last post for you. There are times when you're a bit arrogant and others when you're really nice. If you remember how you acted a few months back in the IRC when you did mIRC for me, that was when I liked your attitude the most. As for the trolls that annoy you here and in the IRC, just ignore them, they're honestly not worth yours (or anyone's) time, just blank them out. Oh and thanks for running through some of my spam reports the other day.

n4n0 - You can be quite the troll when you want to be >_< You're probably the most active Global at the moment, even though you're traveling around a lot. You're in report a scammer a bit more than usual at the moment too, which is nice. As for your milestone thing, I wouldn't make it your life priority man, just wait and see what happens. With any luck it'll happen soon, though either way you're still gonna be the same n4n0 I've always known you as

SuF - You've done a lot for the site in the recent months, the FAQ, the games section, the market pretty much everything at the moment has your name on it somewhere. What you don't do in reports you make up for in community work. Don't ever change.

MohtasaUnique - Congrats on your promo to Global man, I have to say I wasn't expecting you to go up just yet, though I'm happy someone went up who has a really nice character and attitude towards everything, not to mention maturity. Before you were promoted, you were very active in the GFX section trying to revive it (and hopefully you still will). I've seen you doing all the spammer reports you couldn't do before and you've been very active in disputes today. I wish you the best of luck on Global and know you'll do a good job.


FireZ - You've been more active than usual lately, both on MSN and on here. You run through the high pardons as you always do and you're posting and socializing with everyone in the Spam forum and in Off-Topic. Hopefully you can keep this up

Govind - Good work on Finn's ebook on both explaining it and going through it, I imagine he's pretty peeved off right now You're always very active across the site though not through posting.

Matthew - Good to see you working on the donations centre to be open for more staff after the site goes up to vB4, hopefully donation perk requests should go through a lot faster after this is done. Also thanks for all the work you've put in for vB4 itself.

Nick - You're posting a bit more frequently lately, which is nice to see. I don't think I've had the need to PM you with any issues or anything lately, though you always reply to them promptly and with professional answers.

Sythe - Good work on the vB4 skin that should hopefully be completed soon. I see you in spam forum a lot more recently too, your posts I find can be really funny sometimes too. As for the site itself, everything seems to be running way better than it was some months back, whatever you did to the servers/database, keep it mind for next time an error pops up. As for the thing with Grave, I'm pretty sure he was just joking with the IRS claims on Matthew, he does troll a lot, though it's understandable seeing as no one wants to hear from the IRS.

Verts - I haven't seen you much lately, though I know you're lurking everywhere a lot. I hear you're doing some community stuff with Brendan and x339, I don't think I've seen anything yet but I look forward to seeing what you three can come up with.

 

Firez, i generally like your gung ho approach to handling scam reports and vetoing pardons that i usually feel should also be vetoed. I typically agree with 99% of your decisions but you have been exceedingly negative/mean lately..

Calling people/their vouches pathetic isnt professional, not at all. I understand the veto but going out of your way to be rude by calling the vouches he accumulated pathetic reflects badly on you and the staff. Your usual method is harsh but just, usually the one word "vetoed" is plenty... no need to rub salt in the wound.

Also you and some other staff have a habit of closing threads or ignoring constructive criticism and perceiving it as a personal attack on you or staff in general. I understand some (or honestly quite a few) of the posts made in this section are thinly veiled personal stabs at the staff members but you mustn't clump us all together as SOME of it truly is constructive.

for example had some very valid points, wasnt spammy at all and had no attacks on staff what so ever.. it simply addressed what obviously a good handful of the community (7 members agreed with the cause to an extent in the 12 hours the thread remained open) saw as a problem. It WAS constructive and two other staff were talking in the thread and i feel it was seemingly going somewhere, ending the whole conversation for everyone else due to your feelings on the matter is essentially prioritizing your opinion over the whole of the community as well as other staff. As i said earlier in my post that i can typically understand your actions but sometimes i feel your position of power is slightly abused when there are opposing viewpoints to your own, i hope you can see this from my and or other members viewpoints and take it constructively as i sincerely dont mean it as a personal attack whatsoever.
