Rascism on Sythe.org

Lately, I have been both witnessing and have been a victim of racism/prejudice that has been occurring on Sythe.org on a daily basis. I am sure others can speak up and stand behind me on this issue. We as a community, are in the 21st Century, yet the same types of things have been happening like it is still the 17th Century or something.

For example, today after viewing this thread, http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1467468 I thought it was a nice idea and figured I would do something similar also. It is essentially some combination of a diary/blog/journal, hence and .

Now, when I tried to do something similar, http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1467484 the next thing I know, my thread gets moved to the Spam Forum!! I mean c'mon, this is craze! It is that because I'm black that all the threads I create get taken as a joke, and as a result gets moved into the Spam Forum? Why is that that Ashaxx's thread got to stay in the general/off topic sub-forum while, mine get taken as a joke.

What I would like to happen, is that either my thread gets placed BACK to where it was originally created, or just move Ashaxx's thread to the Spam Forum also.



In addition, I find that this thread, http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?p=11464263#post11464263 titled "Rap Battles - Official Thread" is degrading to Hip-Hop/Rap culture. This thread just gives people an excuse to spam and "sound cool" and should really belong in the Spam Forum.
For instance, this verse, does not even rhyme nor make sense!


Last but not least, are threads like these http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1462177, http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1461696. Notice how MY thread, "Thoughts on Black People" gets locked while the other thread, "Your Thoughts on Asians" doesn't. Are Asian people superior to black people in any way? I think not.


In conclusion, I hope to see some changes going on around here. DON'T MOVE THIS THREAD TO THE SPAM FORUM.

Anyways, Alma you are pretty well known across the site as a spammer, hence why your threads/posts are looked upon as spam a lot of the time.

Honestly you're making something big out of nothing, if a thread of yours is moved to the SF then just PM an Off-Topic Mod and ask why it was moved there and if it can be moved back. Assuming racism on the site is just ridiculous.

 

He's not serious about this you realize so all that writing was for nothing? All those citations of threads.
I even asked him if he was legitimately surprised that his thread was moved on MSN. Perhaps he's trying to revive a dying section apart from Staff Feedback.

Could you please provide/tell me what some other "forms or rap" are? Basically in that thread, there are no rules--just like how there are no "rules" in the Spam Forum.

nobody gives a fuck if your black. however, people give a fuck if you are spamming up the general discussion section with topics in which no discussion can come from. if you want you're own diary, buy a book or use the notepad on your computer.

there is a difference between the intended nature of the threads.

in the the thread regarding asian stereotypes, he is seeking help for when he moves so he can be prepared for what to expect.

in the thread regarding black stereotypes, which i'll point out was created after his, is for a "research paper" aka bullshit. it's pretty clear the thread was made to bait people and not to mention it is in the wrong section.

You are making mountains out of molehills here, you are fairly notorious for spamming which is why alot of your posts arent taken seriously, your obviously trolling if you think this is a race issue. I totally agree. As it turns out, most of the replies aren't serious already. If you want people to take you seriously, then don't spam the forums. All you have to do is PM a moderator; it's that simple.

 

I know you're trolling, but basically if you're defending the rights of a particular type of person, you shouldn't be using offensive language regarding the same person. I.E. Nigger.

 

Again, no one is taking me seriously!! I have PM'd mods in the past but nothing had happened!!!

@Brendan--I wouldnt have spend 45 minutes writing this if I were trolling. And I have never used the word "Nigger". There is a significant difference between the word "Nigga" and "Nigger". I dont like it when people use the latter. :'(

 

I'm with Alma on this one.

When someone makes an insanely crazy offer, that is most likely not true, he gets off the hook. You don't assume he's spamming or trolling, you just can't assume it.

Regardless if he is trolling, he is making similar threads to others, yet his is getting shot down without even a chance. You can't just assume he's trolling because of his history. You don't ban someone because you assume he's a scammer and a lot of people has reported him to be one (with lack of evidence). It's happened before and it will happen again, you don't go assuming someone was a scammer and ban him until someone actually reports him with sufficient proof. I've seen a lot of these scammers. I saw nothing wrong with his diary thread, he wasn't even given a chance.

Because someone has a funny avatar and signature, to some people, he suddenly can't be taken seriously? Don't tell me you won't take my post seriously because of my signature. I don't see what's wrong to let his threads live, if it gets out of hand and/or he's clearly trolling then either lock it or move it to the Spam Forum. It's a little harsh not to even give him time or a chance.

In his "Your Thoughts on Black People?" thread, there was actually a decent discussion going on, and in no way did he even spam or troll his thread. Trippin went based on an assumption. Alma didn't even give out his opinion. Research paper or not, he doesn't need to have a reason to ask for the people's opinions, and eventually share his (Something I'd have been looking forward to).

Serious thread or not, I still don't know why he's being treated based on assumptions, when a staff cannot ban a member of Sythe unless there is concrete proof brought up in a report, if a bunch of people just reports him scamming lacking key evidence, the "scammer" doesn't get banned. It's no different, but when a scammer doesn't get banned till enough evidence is brought forward, they usually tend to scam more.

 

This is a troll thread. Move it to the spam forum.
