Don't know where else to post this: http://puu.sh/15GT8

I'm just wondering why someone who is a "Runescape Moderator" is answering a report in that would classify for a "Market Moderator". And I'm also pretty sure the post I reported; the guy was not being serious at all, as he never reposted on the thread.

Furthermore, I'm not trying to be hateful, I'm still pretty new around Sythe, but I have never seen -Ryan very active in the Runescape section at all, and was curious of why he got promoted to a Runescape Mod, I'm sure he's more active in other sections, but why not get the promotion there; if he indeed was due for a promotion. I just don't see it fair that someone who is not active in the Runescape section, becomes a moderator in the Runescape section is all.

I admit that that post was infraction worthy, but mods aren't necessarily bound to their sections if they are able to complete another report.

If I can complete a report in that section, I don't see why I can't. If I would have seen it I would have probably taken it seriously. However, I can't comment on the rest.

Stay on topic. Moderators are assigned to sections that need another moderator not where they are most active unless that section needs another mod.

SuF, what exactly would on-topic entail?

Say I had an issue with a single moderator, and I wanted to post critiquing him on whatever he did wrong. I'm supposed to do that in this thread, in accordance to the rule here:
Now after I make this post, the mod in question replies, and I reply back. Then a global mod, presumably deletes all the posts and says something vague like "Stay on topic." "Not the place for that." etc.

In accordance to the rules I'm not able to make a thread specifically leaving feedback for a single moderator, so what is the place for that? Where exactly would that be on-topic?

I remember a simpler time where you'd just make a thread to leave feedback on a moderator or a group of moderators. That's when the feedback section had a purpose and it was active, and now it's just this thread and a stale section with no new content, I understand it's easier to have all this information in one thread, however, it's very disheartening to see discussion quelled over and over again with the same, "this isn't the thread for that".

Just something that has been bugging me for a while. I also understand that sometimes a discussion about something spouts up from a feedback post, which is just another reason why I think the old system was superior.

EDIT: I'm not just talking about what occurred above, I'm talking about what I've seen over the last month.

Its not that, its just the awkward situation thats occured over how specific feedback for staff can quickly escalate to non-specific and more broad feedback on how we should operate, I've always requested staff to move and the posts and create a new thread when it goes off-topic.

Such as these past posts, they are also off-topic (under the current rule).

I don't know where to put this so I'll put it here, its not right to give someone a self requested ban if they have been hacked, you are putting both the original owner and people who may trade at risk, not many people know the difference between self-requested and hacked and how would they if its not said.

I know when I was on staff there were a few people who self requested bans pretending to be hacked or before being permed for scamming and scammed loads of people by using the SRB title.

There's a lot more excuses behind a SRB than there is behind a perm ban rank, I know not everyone puts SRB for hackings but there are a few mods who still do.

Also Video is doing a great job on disputes.

FireZ -Just noticed you hammering skilling shop owners and then closing their threads. I'm sure everybody on the staff does this but I'm active in the skilling section.

Superman-(I think that is the right color)Great job leading the Tactics Arena competition and being a cool person

For the admins involved with the servers, thank you for making sythe so smooth for the last few months.

For the rest of the staff, great job. Sythe is cleaner than ever:p

Karl - I contacted you about a possible scammer. It turned out to be a ban evader. :D Thanks for reading my PM's and responding fairly quickly as well.

MohtasaUnique - Kudos for hosting the Signature Saturday's. I hope you get moved into your new place fast!

The guys above are basically the same people that are on at this time everyday. (Late afternoon for me.) Once upon a time there was never anybody on in the afternoon/evening my time, but it's great to see these people online and helping. Always plenty of Market Mods on too!

    This. We are grateful.

Yeah I always see an abundance of moderators on, even when when it gets to late evening when it is really late for americans etc, I still see a few on. Namely Sypherz, good job.

Yeah the staff are doing well. Pity about Zerkerfist though, I hope he's ok.
