General Staff Feedback

Both of those threads aren't in General Discussion.
I expected people to be able to decipher the difference between a spam question and a proper question.

 

There's also more examples of what you can discuss, example:

User 1) I have a 5gig folder of hentai.
User 2) Ah, I don't really like hentai, but I can see why some people enjoy it.
User 3) Yeah, I like it because......

There's a ton of things to talk about, you just got to let the thread flourish before nipping it in the bud.

Although I can also understand where you're coming from with this, so I'll drop the issue, it's just that thread was on my mind when I made that earlier post.

The real point is you guys need to take it easy, go with the flow a bit. If a thread really gets that bad where it's just pure spam, move it to the spam forum, until then I don't really see the need.

Anyways, Shoop is doing great in his sections and is incredibly active. He cares for the site and it shows.

Also, n4n0 has been incredibly active and helpful.

For some actual staff feed back, +1 to N4N0 & video, two of the hardest workers Ive seen in the past few weeks.

 

They be trippin - As other's have said, you can't lock threads that are in the spam forum, The spam forum is made for spam and fun, Don't lock shit because you don't like it, just kills all the fun.

I'd like to thank all the staff members who worked with some community members to sort out some rules for the Spam Forum. It was addressed in a mature, professional way and it seems everyone is quite happy with the outcome. I know there was a discussion in the Staff Lounge so I can't be sure who exactly was apart of it, but thanks.

 

I try to go after vaders and scammers sometimes but admin duties get in the way. I also try to pot in a few different sections other then the Community section. I do put the majority of my "forum time" into the dispute forum and high pardon area. And thanks for the feedback. Anything I can do better I am open to discuss.

 

Trippin- Read your fucking feedback and take it into consideration. Stop ignoring everything being said to you and most importantly stop being a BUZZKILL. Jesus christ, the spam forum is not your sanctuary that you rule over once you get off topic Mod. Stop locking threads and stop thinking you are high and mighty for being able to.

 

I haven't seen any locked threads in the SF since it was first brought up, which threads are you referring to?

 

Nullrouting your IP to pornhub, so expect your shit to get transferred onto a mainroute into the NA network... Just one of these examples.

 

Mind referring to which threads? I haven't touched Spam Forum moderation wise since the first displeased feedback on me.

 

I'd like to say that the majority if not all of the staff have been active and apply themselves to their fullest. Well done .

 

-Ryan - A fantastic promotion, been rooting for you for awhile. Don't have much time to judge you, but by the looks of it you are settling in great. Great activity in spam and scam reports, and I'm looking forward to what you can do.

Dialatic - Sort of unexpected promotion, but well deserved nonetheless. Minutes after you were made mod you started going ham on the scam report section, doing all the reports i posted minutes after i posted them. You are doing amazing and I know you'll continue.

Frenzy - Haven't seen you as much as I did before, but maybe that's just because I don't venture into the Runescape section too much. What I've seen from spam reports is good, and you are very helpful.

Malakadang - Great off topic mod, and you are definitely maintaining good activity. You have really informative SFA posts and are the best mod for that section for sure.

MohtasaUnique - Montiquish! You have been an active and good mod for ages. I don't see you posting around too much though, although I understand you are reviving the graphics section which is awesome. Keep on keeping on :laugh:

Pockets - From what I've seen, you are great in the market section. Also, you've recently been doing really well with spam reports, good job.

Shoop - Really really good mod. You know how to get it done in the Support section. Nice job clearing out spam reports too.

Superman - Ahoy, matey. I know you were away a little while back, but since you came back you've been doing awesome. Spam reports come in and they're immediately done by you. The next global for sure, you guys just wait .

sypherz - Definitely one of the most active mods post wise, i see you online all the time. This is really good for the users to see that the mods care about the site as much as them. Thanks

They be trippin - You've been getting a ton of shit for the whole spam forum thing, which i agree with to a point. The great thing is that you've taken the negative feedback and dickiness and changed your attitude on the SF so you're not locking all the threads anymore. Besides this, you are a great mod.

Tmoe - Not very active, and haven't seen you doing much spam/scam reports :/ But otherwise good posts and st00f

Video - You are doing a fantastic job, I see you doing spam/scam/disputes/ you name it. Very active, and also very helpful. Really professional, and I know you will go far.


Wulfspade1 - Doing awesome since you got promoted, hopefully this time will go better than the last 2 haha. Just joking, I know you'll do amazing, you were great the last times also. By the looks of your activity since your promotion, good things are in store for the future.


Blupig - You are a really cool guy, and from what I can see are doing a swell job. Active with posts, not too active with spam/scam reports, leave those to the sectionals eh XD

Clashfan -Pretty inactive, haven't seen you online in ages.

Djweasel -Good job mostly moderating from an iPhone, I respect the dedication. Pretty active and friendly too.

Karl - Carol is an asset to Sythe, and one of the best mods overall I've seen ever. Always active and helpful.

n4n0 - Best member on staff at the moment. Handling all kinds of reports, while posting actively in most sections. Really helpful and not too mean also. Thanks for what you've done for this website.

SuF - Really good with community stuff, like the market redesign. Great job

Zerkerfist - Obviously a great candidate for global, hopefully you take your skills from sectional over to being a global.



FireZ - Good job as normal

Govind - Love the restitution idea, and also how you released the Finn ebook for all to read and debunking all the false statements. Thanks

Matthew - Not active, but not that you really need to be. Good job keeping donations up and running.

Sythe - As of late, I've recognised that you're reaching out more into the community. I noticed that you've been talking with members related to server issues, taking part in the removal and discussion of the websites more dramatic moments (I.E. Giving us some information surrounding the Finn eBook situation), as well as general posting around throughout sections like the Community General section even as well as having a joke with the Spam Forum. Thanks as well for your input on my feedback thread a few days ago.

I don't know if you have a lot of time or if you have already, but do you reckon you'd be able to browse through the Suggestions forum for a few minutes and give us your take on some of the suggestions there? I personally like the general idea behind a few of them but they haven't received much upper-staff attention. If you get around to this, thanks!

Yeah, I assumed being an administrator gives you a load of unseen duties which takes up your time and means you don't do as many "visible" duties. I don't really think there's much you can improve on, considering you do so much in the Dispute Forum when it ultimately isn't your job. Because you are so experienced with dealing with rule-breakers, maybe a stint of the RaSc every now and then (Particularly input on the more difficult cases) would be nice, but not necessary.

 

Sythe - Thank you for taking the time to look at Grave's scam report. Its nice to see you helping out from time to time. Appreciate it .

 

Thanks for the feedback piramid. Ive been putting a lot of effort into staying active and involved across the site, as well as managing my temper as best as possible. Im glad its showing, even if just a little.

 

n4n0 - Responds to my pointless Private Messages which is nice. Active member of the forums, seen him post around a lot, seen him handle various reports and keeps the community informed on any ongoing situations which could affect users.

sythe - again, he responds to my pointless PM's. The guy is putting his time and effort into sorting that Corey and Grave situation out which is nice. He puts shit like assignments to a side just to do shit on Sythe which then sometimes isn't appreciated by members and say he doesn't do anything for the site.
