Waterfiends - Royal, Karils or Armadyl gear?

Im going to bed now, but tomarrow Ill check this thread, give thanks to those who answered and get the gear and start killing waterfiends. Im currently 85 summoning, trying to get 96, Ive recently gotten Cmaul and am ready to start working on summoning!

Ive looked at and compared all 3 sets, but as Royal has lower mage def but MORE mage absorption than karils and Armadyl has better prayer/mage def than both the others, but takes away attack bonus, Not sure for full set, but the top atleast I know gives -7 crush. I just want to know which set is best for this set up:

Neit Helm, tohaar-kal, fury, d boots, maul, barrows gloves.

and of course either royal dhide, karils or armadyl top and bottom.

 

Go with Karil's, it is better than Royal here. Armadyl will only slow you down. But really, don't make a big deal of it. The bank is only 2 minutes away.

I heard this as well, i would look into this and check out the stats and see if its better.

Out of the setups you've supplied, i would personally go with Karils .

 

tbh i think void is your best bet. I use void, rarely ever get hit, and I just use SS to heal when I need to. The setup works pretty well, you should give it a shot

gano would be the best but isnt worth the cost to piss away at waterfiends with so many other viable cheaper options. Karills is king out of all the sets mentioned in the poll as it has better mage def than royal and doesnt have the negative melee bonus that armadyl has. Void would be best out of all of these seeing as its got great mage def and a badassss set effect. But for slaying, karils is best. I prefer it over using my gano since gano is way more expensive to replace/repair

EDIT: bot to get void if you dont have it OP the maul needs void for it to be all that effective. Also consider getting some goliath gloves. them paired with ddef makes cmaul look pretty shitty tbh and the upkeep/time spent getting them is very small (compared to 200k tokens)

 

I use Karil's just because it looks cooler than Royal.
