    What do you prefer?

Windows, I've just used it my whole life, so I'm rather accustomed to using it.

    What do you prefer?

Windows, I have been using it since the beginning and it will always be the best. I just switched over from XP actually lol, never wanted to seeing as it was perfect. But windows 7 hasn't disappointed.

I use Linux occasionally, its quite fun. I had it on my netbook for a while, just because it is alot less intensive than windows.

I have never owned anything that runs OS X, but I may try and put it on my computer to try it out. I don't think I will like it however.

    What do you prefer?

I have had both Mac and PC and I definitely prefer Windows. I'm not exactly sure why, I was just much more comfortable using it. However, I can't judge Linux as I've never used it.

    What do you prefer?

    Windows

Apple is more of a lifestyle brand than a technology company. It is what people carry around if they want everyone to look at them and be like 'Oh, that guy must be a pretentious douche bag.' I would rather pay for the machine and not for the name.

    What do you prefer?

They each have their benefits, so it's hard to pick just one. Mind you I believe we're talking about the operating systems here, and not the apple computers or PCs.

Linux is excellent for development and for advanced users who like to be in complete and utter control of their environments, at the sacrifice of compatibility and simplicity.

Mac OS is good for artists because of the different varieties of exclusive software related to art. HOWEVER this is literally Mac's only advantage over Windows. All it takes is for a developer to make the same software for Windows and that advantage is eliminated. Being a Unix-based OS, it also lacks the compatibility of the DOS & Win32/64 base of Windows.

Windows is the middle ground between Linux and Mac, which is why so many people use it. It's great for developers and for beginner to intermediate customization (themes n shit), the newer versions are relatively simple and intuitive, and there's an enormous developer base ready to create useful and innovative software for consumers. Windows also has the best compatibility.

If I absolutely had to pick one, it would probably be Windows, though I DO like the direction Linux is taking with Ubuntu. It's becoming a bit more like Mac I find, but they're doing it in a way as to appeal to both the advanced users and beginner users alike.

    What do you prefer?

I have a Macbook Pro and everyone else in my family uses a PC, so I've used them both quite extensively. I can definitely say I'm more comfortable using a PC, but this might be due to the fact that I used Windows many years before finally obtaining a Mac. That being said, I feel a lot safer on my Mac..I feel paranoid whenever I download something on my PC, since I don't have good antivirus software. For gaming purposes, definitely PC. I've never used Linux before.

    What do you prefer?

I've never experienced Apple software apart from an iPhone.

I'd pick Windows over Linux although I have a feeling I would prefer apple if I got to try it as an OS on a laptop/desktop.

    What do you prefer?

Windows, it's just easier to use. I know all the functions of it etc.

I used to use apple computers at school and I hated them.

Never used a linux in my life so I can't compare.

i have to agree 100% with you here. i love linux but compatibility can be a massive pain. then again by the looks of windows 8 its edging closer to the common user experience for non advanced users.
i do hope they keep it similar to 7, its getting annoying to have to reg edit so much.
