General Staff Feedback

His pardon didn't get to the viewing point on the forums for a few days and do you care to explain? I've never had any problems when trading classic pker. He actually gave me my start during feb 2011.

On topic to the whole date thing.. Why is there a 7 day rule? It's always being said that mods/admins are super busy. Shouldn't it be extended to fit their needs?

 

Alright I have to adjust one of my opinions.

I barely see you active and when you post its something like this. Please, atleast react with respect? You could've just said something along the lines of "We do not like this behaviour on our forums, denied sorry."

zerker and spyhperz - both easy to talk to and get a hold of. Doing a great job!

 

He's terse and straight to the point (unlike Zerker for example who writes like half a page saying why someone should be banned or unbanned). At times it can be a bit frustrating and annoying that he doesn't even state the reason why, but mostly it's just a waste of time when dealing with scammers/vaders.

And actually that was a bit longer than what he usually says which are like "Hammered", "Denied", and "Nope".

 

Finn's dispute had essentially no chance of being accepted. He understands why he is banned so there is no need to explain anything to him. And he was just being blunt.

If a staff member strongly supported him being pardoned I am sure FireZ would have reconsidered his veto had the staff member made his case to FireZ directly.

 

Just wanted to say:
SuF: I really like you (no homo) and wish you luck in eventually getting administrator, although I'm not sure why you haven't gotten it already.
FireZ: handled Finns dispute well and disputes in general well, lol. Great job

I personally don't like that all have a reply. Whenever I ended up on a RaS spree like that, I took care to either "silently" lock so as to avoid wasteful bumps, or just archive a list of threads that I did reply-bump out of habit. If the OP needs to be warned for breaking the rules, use an infraction and put a moderator message in the infraction.

For instance, why would the following threads need to be revived back to the top of RS2 General (for another 2-12 hours of pointless viewing) after 2 days of inactivity? Thread "tools > lock" works way better in instances like these:

Not ragging on Sypherz, I just noticed the wall of locked threads as well. Most mods tend to do it from time to time. :l





By the way, punkerpunk, even though posts are not publicly viewable by you and me, every single mod has perms over the Dispute section. They can and do read posts the day they are written, as long as the mod is actively posting anywhere else. In the past I've browsed through a lot of "unmoderated" (i.e., invisible) disputes without bothering to moderate them (i.e., make them visible to the public) because I had nothing to post. No post = no support; it always has and always will. It's safe to say that most pardons have a dozen of "no supports" within the first few days of them being posted. On that note, if a mod does post "No support," it basically is the polite way of publicly saying "Fuck you."

 

I apologize for spamming the forum the other night. Spam reports were very backed up and I just got new privileges which means I've never done that many at once. In the process of spending about 2-3 hours on mod duties got into a rythm sort of. Thanks for the feedback Kero

 

He was locking threads that didn't belong or were misplaced, i like that he was doing so much.

 

I honestly don't like that he's locking everything, because most threads can be discussed further. I understand the question ones when everyone just basically says the same thing for post count.

 

Many of them were in the wrong section or would be better placed in a certain sticky rather than any section. I did not lock any threads that could be further discussed. The problem was my commenting and bumping them. Won't happen again like that.

 

I do agree with this, and I want to clarify that my previpus feedback was constructive and a little too harsh. Lock walls are annoying, but if it means that useless and wrong-forum threads finally get dealt with, so be it.

 

Great work thinking of the restitution everybody involved.
