Third chaotic and so forth.

Hey guys. I'm currently working on 120 Dungeoneering (only 92 at the moment), and that's all I plan on doing until I get there. I've currently got 180k tokens, and a chaotic rapier and longsword. My current goal is to have all of the chaotics, and I should by what I'm doing. I'm going to go for 99 fishing through dungeoneering, even if I'm 120 when I get it (96 atm). I was debating on whether to get the chaotic kiteshield for my third, or the chaotic maul. I know the maul would be a great weapon to have especially for waterfiends, but I know the chaotic kiteshield is the best shield in the game currently. Or, should I go for the chaotic crossbow? I'm currently maxed (2200+ total), but I do have low summoning. In which order would you get them? Like first, second, and third out of what I've listed. I'm also open to hear any other suggestions.

Depends what you plan on doing my friend. If you want to go to waterfiends for 99 summoning get a maul, best crush wep in the game BY FAR. If you want to boss and tank the boss, such as bandos, buy a kiteshield, if you want to go to arma/nex, buy a chaotic crossbow, it depends on the circumstances.

 

Totally agree with this, wait until you actually need to get a chaotic instead of wasting the tokens now.

 

I'm very active in bossing, but I'd like to have 99 summoning. I see what you're saying there. I'd like to be able to tank at bandos, or have a good shield for nex. But, I'd need the crossbow for that aswell. I may end up saving until I can afford everything at once.

 

uh chaotic maul isnt best for fiends anymore, i outclass them all day unarmed using goliath gloves which arent hard to get def worth getting them and dreadnips both for bossing. i would then get the shield and then the cbow, but like you said saving up may be best option seeing as things are a bit tricky with the eoc coming/ i wouldnt waste them on a maul. ever. its saving grace in my eyes was its use as a waterfiend wep and with goliath gloves out and being superior its use is pretty limited so some pvp thats about it.

EDIT: i said "unarmed" with goliath gloves when i meant gloves and a ddef.

 

dont get rigour, it will be given for free after EoC update.

 

I would just save 'em up for now, can't be entirely sure on what they'll change right when the beta ends. Aren't there also going to be offhand chaotics, too? Think I remember seeing something like that.

 

That's why I'm considering saving them. Somebody had mentioned to me that they will be provided for free, but I'm not so sure if they've got legible knowledge to come to such a conclusion. I feel as if I should have maybe gotten dungeoneering up a bit prior to now because of all of the recent complications with coming to a final decision.

 

What would be the point of saving it all up at once just buy it peice by piece theres no negativity to that...

im going to go out on a limb and say not one of you read the original post seeing as he asked

id love to hear why he should waste his tokens on a maul when the maul is outclassed for waterfiends by the goliath gloves which are not only free but REALLY easy to get once you have gotten once before (5 bosses and you have got a new pair) the chaotic maul has very limited pvp usage, practically NO pvm usage.. so please enlighten me as to the usage to this weapon and why you like it so much because i cant find a good reason for OP to get it or for me to get it.

OT i still vote CKS seeing as you like to boss, or ccb if you love nexing but i admittedly dont know as much about nexing :S. with this update coming it would definitely be the safest bet to wait it out, still interested in hearing these maul fans justification (cool big hits isnt good enough)

 

I voted for Chaotic Crossbow, as that is the 3rd Chaotic weapon that I plan on obtaining when I get back to Dungeoneering. It really depends on your stats and mostly, what kind of activities you enjoy and participate in the most ingame. Don't buy something if you are never going to use it, as there will be plenty of time to obtain it down the road if you are going for 120 Dung

 

I'm new to nexing aswell. I think I may just end up getting the kiteshield as for now. I know it will pay off especially with it's high ranged defense and stab bonuses.

I do see it this way as well. If I proceed to dungeoneer, I should obtain everything by my desired level. I'm just a bit skeptical on which to buy with this damned update. I wish it would be pushed farther ahead, as I doubt I'll have enough tokens for the offhands, the CCB, and the offhand CCB by the time the update rolls around. Unfortunately :'( ..
