Trade Limit

Alright so here's the situation; I traded over a very valuable item to my level 3 account which is F2P. Once I traded it over, it said the account had a 25K trade limit.

The account is over 5 years old, so I thought that only newly registered accounts have the trade limit/restriction from when they introduced that update.

Is my valuable item stuck on the level 3 or am I forced to make it a member just to trade it back over?

But anyways, I'm 100% sure you'll need to make it members to get it transferred yes! That'll cost you a few bucks sadly.

 

You can have the account killed in red portal in Clan wars with the account you want to receive with. The item will be dropped and you just have to pick it up.

 

Not worth the risk.

I don't personally see the risks. You can try with 10k coins to see if it indeed works. If you are scared of encountering people, then go to a low world and do it while making sure there's no one there.

Do what you feel safe doing and no problem.

 

If its like a santa go for clan wars, wouldn't trust with a phat though.

 

I agree with the red portal idea, that is F2P right? i thought clan wars was P2P...

If it is F2P, test it with something smaller, and just run to a part where no other peope are, as long as you plan it well enough nothing bad will happen.

 

If it's a really valuable item, you should just buy yourself membership and trade it over. No risk of losing it.

 

This happened to me yesterday but it was 550M. I tried staking it and that didn't work either. Luckily, I upgraded my account as I was only on the free trial and I could then trade freely with any amount I wished.

No, only f2p new accounts and accounts on the trial membership.

 

I can confirm that the Red Portal works with at least 5m cash, i've helped a friend do it when he got into a similar situation. By the sound of it you have something around 20m. I don't see why there would be a difference between them. I would say that you should go for it. If you don't, it's wasted anyways if you don't want to pay for membership since you can't sell it. :/

 

Your fine, Wait 1 - 2 days and trade limit will be gone. I have that problem from time to time too.

 

uh not true, f2p accounts are stuck with the trade limit indefinitely now unless they get membership. after getting membership they never have to worry about a trade limit ever again though. red portal is a safe method to use and it works on f2p there also happens to be a lottt less activity/lurers in clan wars if you are really that paranoid im sure some friends would look out for you. or you could go to a foreign server

 

I would suggest you that you should get membership because it seems like you want the safest method to transfer the item back and making the account member is the safest way.

 

I think you can also die with it, then loot your item.
But too be 100% sure I would make it P2P, since you say it's quite expensive.

 

Just go the wildy, get the level 3 killed by a rat. done

Yeh I was thinking this, because I had previously (around 2-3 months ago) traded valuable items to my F2P pure and it allowed me to trade it back to my P2P account after a few days.

I just tried trading it back to my P2P account and it still says I currently have a 25K trade limit.

Just keeping this noted, close to 2 days have passed.

 

The red portal works. But do note that noted items cannot be transfered this way. Runescape will eat the item up and the noted items will be gone.

 

Not true about that noted item.
If you get killed with a noted item in your backpack, the killer won't get it.
BUT you can run back to pick it up. ( From personal experience).
Jeff, you should just kill the F2P account in Red Portal, there is no risk at all.
Just be sure the item is unnoted so the killer can loot it.
This method works 100%.
The only thing that might happen is that you get killed by someone else.
I don't think that will happen though.
Just logg into a random world and run like 30 steps east.
