Should Marijuana be Legal?

Absolutely. The pros heavily outweigh the cons. And it's just a hypocrisy not to.
Alcohol which causes deaths is legal. There is no logic for not allowing marijuana to be legal.

If marijuana's illegal, it just ends up on the black market. The war on drugs is bullshit and clearly is not working and people will never just quit smoking weed. By putting it on the black market it just ends up leading people to other drugs because of their interactions with shady people and dealers and it just ends up in the hands of kids.

If I want to smoke a little marijuana I shouldn't be forced to make deals with criminals.

Amsterdam knows what's up, folks. Thank God I live in Canada where cannabis is nearly decriminalized (while at least to everyone but the Federal police). Four friends I know got caught carrying a backpack with an ounce, scales, baggies and two bongs and the police just confiscated it and let them go. I'd love to visit a bring-your-own-cannabis cafe in Toronto.

Lol it's clearly obvious that it should be legal. As stated before there are just way too many pros as opposed to cons. Search "The Union" on youtube it's a great watch and only about 1 hour and 20 mins long

 

Marijauna contains 400 different chemicals that is still not identified to men, not to mention it's addiction gets you started into worth drugs like heroin. It is true that there are other drugs worse then Marijauna, but it doesn't mean that will excuse for Marijauna to be legally used, things like smoking are already being demoralized by the goverment, the goverment can't just ban to global things like tobbaco or alcohol, it would be outrages, but Marijauna is a who different thing.

As you see, when you think of chemicals you think of scary poisonous things, but most of them are harmless and natural. Carbon filtration removes all volatile organic compounds and water filtration removes all water-soluble compounds. Can you see the kind of ridiculous scare-tactics used to keep cannabis illegal?

Marijuana addiction has never started anyone into hard(er) drugs. They make that decision themselves, they can't blame it on the cannabis.

The government actually tried banning alcohol, funny thing is.

Marijuana is a global thing though. I've seen cannabis from Thailand, Afghanistan, more of the Middle East, Mexico, Canada, America, Holland, um... yeah you get the point.

Medical cards, where I'm from, aren't that hard to get so I don't see it as they are needed to smoke. The only effect of Marijuana that is bad is that it affects how you think, but for some reason, alcohol is 100x worse as far as affecting your mind yet it's still legal.

Legalize.

 

Gateway drug is a baseless assumption with 0 evidence of it actually being true. I hate how people say it, without backing any info on it.

Also, marijuana is a different thing, because of the incorrect governmental propaganda that made it look like the devil's plant. People actually believed if you smoked weed, you would become a killer. Check refer madness. That was the intended message.

 

As a former recreational smoker myself, I can see the arguments from both sides, and would have no problem with the substance being legalized. That being said, everyone who acts as if there are no side effects of smoking marijuana needs to face reality; you are breathing SMOKE into your lungs, and there are carcinogens in the smoke. Yes, no study has linked death or lung cancer with the consumption of marijuana, but to claim that inhaling smoke from a plant has no negative side effects is absurd.

 

It should be legal. simple. It has millions of medical uses true. but as long as alcohol and cigarettes are legal, weed should be to as its healthier than they are. And when mixed with just the right amount of beer its a divine feeling.

 

IM here to argue with all the weed haters. Clearly theyve never actually tried it for themselves. Marijuana doesnt have the same kind of effect that other drugs have on your body. It doesnt stimulate you or make you overly drowsy. It is more a relaxant kind of drug. I find that marijuana helps me focus and concentrate when it comes to different things. For example, I always get high to write a school report. It gets my creative juices flowing and I write swifter than an eagle.

Some people say it makes you crazy and turns you into a laughing machine but that isnt completely true. It lightens your mood and relaxes you in a way that even a massage cant accomplish.

Imo, it should be legalized just like alcohol. But DUI should still remain illegal, because concentrating on multiple things at once while you are high is still a challenge.

 

I voted for NO. I dont like drugs, either I dont use alcohol or smoke cigarettes.

If Governments will continue to allow for tobacco products and alcohol to be legal, with this same mentality in mind it seems obvious that marijuana should be granted its legality.
