It's actually not that big of a deal. Even though they should do things like update their animations for free (you pay them to give you updates), this store offers no real advantage.

 

I agree with this completely. I'm tired of people complaining about these small things ruining the game when they have no effect on gameplay.

This of these as just an extension on RS's life... the more money they make, the longer it stays.

 

I must admit, those home teleport things are pretty cool!

Frankly I don't know why people are surprised. Runescape has been going downhill, in terms of user satisfaction, for a long time.

EDIT: To be honest, I didn't know anyone on Sythe actually even played Runescape anymore. I thought everyone "played" RuneScape strictly for business on here.

Although I hate these updates, I gotta hand it to them the teleport and skilling animations are quite creative and somewhat fun.

 

All these items are cosmetic, theres no real advantages from using them, so I dont see what the problem is. Just think of it as the free items they offer every so often with 90+ membership cards and such, xcept theres no extra membership included. I never buy these cards, I'll never buy these items. But people who do get the 90+ cards for the items, are only getting them for the items I would say, so they'll be the ones to buy rune coins. If you dont want to spend real money on cosmetic swords and emotes and animation, dont. simple as that.

 

I don't see why people are making this such a big deal really. A player with stuff from solomon's general shop will have no advantage whatsoever compared to another player that doesn't have them. Jagex hasn't had any microtransactions for over 10 years, they added them because they need to make money to keep runescape running obviously..

Maplestory has this. It's just basically purchasing costumes while you can wear your armor underneath. It offers no real advantage and is a waste of money. Jagex is just hauling more profit from idiots.

 

Hope everyone can just deal with it, it won't be as bad as the update.

Concerning the solomons store thing; i bought that cool staff look change.. maging steels with polypore with that shit was pretty cool. Im actually liking the new update to an extent. Its pretty cool they give everyone 200 free coins. If people will keep giving jagex cash for stupid shit like this its going to continue happening, who knows maybe the extra influx of cash is going to make them improve the game instead of pumping out fail updates.

 

I'd like if Jagex sold gold, 100 percent chance of not getting scammed.
