Runescape is just going down with every single damn update.

I find it funny how people on here, the ones who sell/buy gold, are saying how it's unfair that people are gaining an advantage with the use of real money on Runescape.

It makes me laugh to watch what this game turns out to become. I've been watching shitty updates for years. I don't care for it too much, but I don't hate it. In my eyes, the updates are something only a die hard RS fan would go out of their way to attempt to stop. If it doesn't affect me, I couldn't care less.

 

Honestly not all that surprised. The day will come eventually when Jagex realizes the black market is far too profitable not to dip their hands in.

 

SoF was a BAD update because it let people buy xp, and SoF gives out free xp every day.

Solomon's store is a GOOD update because it sells COSMETIC items, these are OPTIONAL, they do not give anyone an advantage.

Jagex is a company, they need to make money. They lost so much developing Steller dawn and MechScape, (both failed), that they needed to sell out to Insight Venture Partners.

And Rsprod basically summed it up, Solomon's store doesn't affect anyone in a negative way, and it isn't a bad thing that Jagex is trying to find ways to make money to continue to support the game we play.

 

I already have my suspicions that they are.

So it seems like they do own Nexon which made Maplestory, but I don't play that game, idk if it is ruined.

 

I don't care that it costs money. Aslong as the Items are just cosmetic.

 

I see this kind of like a band. They're some really awesome bands that just went downhill so they could make more money. Forsaking their original fans in a grab for more money. As much as I would like to blame them, I can't. I want money just like every other human on this earth. As long as it doesn't give an unfair advantage in play then it is fine, because that is when a game starts to get ruined. When you have to spend a lot of money IRL to be on a level playing field.

 

Nice title name, but I agree with sartana. Cosmetics don't affect the game.

Another thread reinforcing what we have already known for a long time:
1.) Runescape has the most crybabies per capita of any game.
2.) Jagex likes money.

.... theres a pattern here.. new update people cry and say they will quit saying "gf jagex" and jagex laughs all the way to the bank.

If it gives no advantage over others in the game and people wanna do gay ass irl money emotes fuck em .. i dont see how people are surprised at this at all once SoF came out they were officially RWT'ing this isnt a big deal. Youre an idiot if you think otherwise, people saying "gf jagex" should just quit and quit talking about quitting > >

I don't know why people are complaining, it's only cosmetic appearances.. I kind of like this update. Sof isn't so bad either, you get free exp by just logging on everyday and if someone wants to spend $100 on a few hundred k exp, let em.

I personally support the new store.
The animations are a nice touch, and purely optional.
Everything in it is purely cosmetic and doesn't effect gameplay.
Jagex has to make money because they're a business.
I know that concept is super crazy, but try to wrap your minds around it.
