Another phish attempt. They would usually sent you a message through the game and even then, there is some grammar mistakes in that text thus proving its fake.

Fake, phish. I've got like 5050505005050505000000000000000000 of these emails, saying I've been 'suspended for RWT', 'Login validation' etc.

Ignore any email apparently from Runescape with links on it. if its truly from Jagex, navigate to their website via the url box not any links from the email, login officially and check your inbox.

Or if your careful enough, simply just right click any suspicious looking links on the email and click "Copy Link Location" or whatever equivalent you have, paste it into notepad for example, and you'll see whenever its legit or fake.

Don't make your msn public or post it on any forums. that's how they get your email and send you these phishing links.

I wouldn't read any e-mails in my inbox regarding RuneScape things, since I know JaGex will always e-mail me via my account inbox on RuneScape, and never my e-mail account.

As a side note, though, if you really want to know...

You could always look at the address (_____@_address here_) and check on JaGex's website for their e-mails to see if it's legit. I think this works, but I've never tried that theory out.

Its a phishing attempt and whatever you do DO NOT! click on it as some of these links comtain viruses such as keyloggers that will take your accounts. I also get a ton of these emails every month just delete them straight away or put them on your email block list so there emails don`t show up. Remember if Jagex want to message you it is normally through the in-game message system.

RuneScapes emails never start with Dear Customer, if they ever start with 'Dear' it'll have your display name right after it. (Usually 'Hi _displayname_')

Their emails will never have links unless its a loyalty program email.

Their emails will never be signed "jmod"

    For futurue reference...

Funny how they cited U.S. law while Jagex Headquarters is located in the U.K., what a fail.

This is a good point but even if they're based in the UK they can use US law as well. How do you think they sued rsbots back at the first nuke?
