I read an article 2 days ago about an interview with Blizzard and the poject leader of D3 said that Inferno mode isn't playable in the long run. He said that it needs some serious reworking pretty much.

I myself have found D3 to be fun in the beginning, but as you hit 60 and complete inferno difficulty there is just absolutely NO endgame material at all, I can't speak for all players but thats the reason I have chosen to put Diablo 3 away for now.

It gets boring, simple as that. Not many people wish to bother killing Diablo 3-4 times again and restart the story. It's quite a bore for many people, especially those that got sucked in by the hype about it and didn't realise that this is how Diablo was/is played.

Well, I had about 200 hours of gameplay on my account, farmed over 100m (and sold) Quit because everything worth playing for was nerfed, making inferno insanely hard. It was impossible to finish Inferno Act1-Act4 legit. Also, all the items were inflated, people had fancy items worth hundreds of mils but no one could afford. And to top that off, whenever blizzard blunders on D3 (quite often) the scenario where a D3 player must send in a support ticket and wait a week for a reply that has nothing to do with the ticket.

    TL : DR
    Blizzard is stupid
-First attempt at stopping bots came in late as hell, and ended up effecting everyone
-Nerf skills that were made classes desirable
-AIS nerf made a lot of people quit
-Drop rate (increase crap drops, lower good drops)
    -Bosses drop sh*t now
-D3 could have been an amazing game, but blizzard fu*ked up.

I think they made a big mistake in the gameplay - it's too similar to WoW. In WoW you want to constantly do new things.

people like myself kept playing diablo 2 because the skills were awesome and correctly matched, and so where gear / rune drops. That balanced out the fact that all you really did was kill the same bosses over and over again.

With diablo 3 you kill the same bosses over and over as well, but for me the gameplay just isn't enough.

Also D3 was being hyped up and worked on for years and really would never have met the sky high expectations of gamers. If D1 and D2 didn't exist and this was the first Diablo, it could possibly have done better.
As for the content of D3, an expansion could save it. Comparing to D2 again, the best part was playing act 5 and running ubers, I couldn't imagine playing D2 for years if it only went to act 4.

Yeah.. im amazed by how they had so long to make the game and they still fucked it..

Game was alot of fun till lvl 60, but inferno is redic, they made a difficulty that is almost unbeatable(unless you have several hundreds of dollars to waste on gear.) I doubt ill be playing again untill they release an expansion pack.

The problem with the game is that the mechanics are exceptionally unrewarding and their fun is more of a novelty that lasts very short amounts of time. Diablo is supposed to be a hack and slash game, but they started doing stupid shit like balancing stats like this is world of warcraft even though its a single player game.

Most mobs melee attack swings have long animations, but they hit you once the animation starts unless you blow an ability like SS or teleport. If they made it so you could dodge them by moving it would be a simple change that would make it more fun and more of a hack and slash game. Some of the affixes on elites don't help either. Mortar and Jailer are pretty much insta death on inferno unless you are a DH, then its only a matter of time before you run out of focus and die. If you are melee a fire chains/teleport is retarded to even try to kill and fire chains/molten/tp is just impossible to kill.

For a DH anything with fast and invincible minions is impossible to kill so it becomes a gigantic dice game.

Also for the DPS classes (DH/Wiz/WD) once you hit a certain DPS threshold you can kill almost any elite and then the game becomes way too easy and there is no end game to it. PvP is looking to try to be the savior BUT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT DAY 1. The RMAH should have ALSO been out day 1, these are things promised then not delivered upon. They also are nerfing everything, find a way to farm? They nerf it, Tyrael killing mobs for you? Nerf Tyrael to doing less damage on Inferno than a Nightmare Guard of the Keep.

Stat scaling out of control? Nerf the gear you spent money/gold on. Every single time blizzard dropped the ball they did. Blizzard had a good blueprint with D2 and the xpac but then regressed from where they were. Thats why the playerbase is dropping. I made more money than I spent on the game so I have absolutely no qualms about dropping it when its milked dry.

I played till about level 14 on my barbarian and got extremely bored... and to get to level 14 took me about 3 weeks. It was super hard to even enjoy the game..way to much clicking and too repetitive.

For the first 3 weeks of the game. I was a fanboy.
I wanted to defend Bilzzard for the game because it was enjoyable when I played it.
Now, I'm disappointed in my decision.
I stopped playing the game, and I may sell the game in the future.

I beat normal mode and just sort of gave up in nightmare...I really liked Diablo II, but for some reason I just really don't feel like having to beat the game 4 times to truly beat it.

You guys were expecting way too much. This is the first Diablo game I've played and I like it a lot. The first 3 difficulties are mainly for leveling you up to 60, while inferno is there to test your skill. Obviously leveling up is the least fun, but since I've never played any Diablo/WoW series, it gave me a chance to adapt to the gameplay. In my two to three weeks of playing, I've already have Act II (inferno) completed and I'm currently farming for better gear. I love the auction house concept and how you can sell/buy items for real money. Hopefully I make some money in the future :p

Also, I can't wait for PvP!
