    Bank Calls "Suspicious Payments"

So today I received a call from my bank checking on some suspicious payments I made to various accounts.

Apparently x10 payments of $7.50 to the UK and 25 payments to various locations and accounts of $30-100 is suspicious. >.> Due to this, I found on Sunday morning my card was locked.

    PShHHHHHH

Anyways I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced any similar gold buying/selling/botting problems with there bank/credit union. If so what were the circumstances?

my bank cancelled my card for 'suspicious payments'

the only payment that i made was 1 subscription to runescape, and they figured that was enough to cancel my card..

    Bank Calls "Suspicious Payments"

I bought $740 worth of gp last week via BT, and the bank ended up calling my parents, who had to explain to a person who actually laughed at them that I was buying gold for a game that I play all day long while being in my room. I had a serious talk with my parents afterwards that I really don't play that much...which isn't true :p

If you talk to the bank, perhaps you can get your account unlocked? I would assume that they would only lock it in light of the 'suspicious payments' because they are concerned that somebody else may be using your card. Or, if you are underage, they may do something like contact your parents (like in TTB's case) when you are moving around a rather large amount of money.

£150 was withdrawn from my account, it wasn't routine. They did nothing, I got onto it, asked them to investigate it, took about an hour, they found out where it was withdrawn from and stuff, turned out I did it. Just don't remember. weird.

Well I had everything resolved the next day! All is good now :3

But haha I would understand the $740 deal. That's quite a large sum of cash x3

That happened to me, too. I bought something off this online auction website and the deal was okay. I paid with my credit card, got my confirmation and all and everything seemed legit until it was already two weeks and my item hasn't arrived yet.

I checked with the seller, his phone number was no longer active and his account online has been suspended for fraud. Wow!

I paid the guy $140 for his item which didn't looked worth $140 at all but I bought anyway and it's already past his delivery date. I've reported the problem to the auction site to no avail. I haven't received any update on it yet. How come they're so quick in charging for item which sold but extremely slow in acting on disputes????

By the way, I kept getting calls on my home phone which came from an anonymous phone number and when I looked it up online, several reports posted at http://www.callercenter.com confirmed that it's the customer service department of that online auction website. This confused me. When I pick up, the caller never says anything. They just stay there and seem to wait for me to hung up. Why is that? Could that be to have something on their records that they did call me but it's never really their intention to help? I'm pissed off...

PS: It's a different online auction website. Their lousy system is the reason why I don't go there anymore.

My bank doesn't call me, not even after I showed up and asked for $33,000 in cash from my chequing account.

I've had my bank lock my card just because i paid for some stuff online from Amazon, and then paid £100 for my mobile bill, all under my own name, being sent to my own address and verified online with my banks code's e.t.c. and they still locked it o.0... was a pain as i was taking my kid sister to the fair and couldn't withdraw cash to spend on her.
