General Staff Feedback

Sorry I only really posted my leave to other staff, I have exams and no chance of getting on for the next week or two (and the past one). I put it in my sig space so people know. I'll be back soon!

Congrats, you all seem to be doing a good job so far and have settled in well. Also thanks to Quatakai for actually changing my thread titles when asked and also I like how you keep a look out for the xbox section

Quatakai-- I am very impressed with how quickly you've settled in and the quantity of work you're doing. Keep it up

Zerker-- One of the best moderators that have been. Period. I'm not even going to question how you exist.

Superman-- I can't thank you enough for helping me settle into this position.

 

I know i'm rather new and don't take priority as most older users, but out of all the mods i've tried getting help from, Quatakai and Superman were the most friendly and eager to help me.

The hardest thing on a popular forum is to find staff that reaches out to the community by helping and communicating with the average user, acting as if they're just an ordinary member such as myself. These two are by far the best mods on any forum i'm apart of. They're friendly and have no trouble helping Sythe members with their issues. They reply whenever you need them and are extremely knowledgeable, they've without a doubt, made an impression on me and made the start to my Sythe adventure a lot better then any other community.

I just wanted to leave some feedback for Video. He hasn't been a mod for long, but he settled into his position so comfortably and I am frequently impressed with the way he handles things and with all of the reports/investigations he takes care of. Really fantastic job mate

Also, Quatakai, Noam, Sypherz have all been doing a great job since their promotions Keep it up boys.

 

Well done on handling the spam reports faster now than earlier.

Sometimes it used to take a few days, seems to be handled in a decent time frame now.

 

Our new staff have really been taking heavy to them, which also encourages the other staff to take care of some too since there isn't a daunting 10+ pages to deal with.

FireZ - I haven't seen you much within the last week, I suppose you have Irl commitments to get to ; But great job over the past few weeks

n4n0 - Saw a decrease in activity a while back, But seems like your back and active now, good to see you more community involved; Are you back in the Usa yet?

Zerkerfist - I'd have to say you are one of the most dedicated moderators on this website, Everyday i see you answering lots and lots of spam reports and you are constantly on Msn and ready to help with any issues, A very good promotion and addition to the staff team.

Video - Another amazing promotion, Very dedicated to the job but i've seen a small decrease in activity lately, Im sure it's just temporary.

Superman - Everyday you are on msn and ready to assist, You've helped me with countless reports and checks, I've just lost count.. Very very dedicated to the job and you do what needs to be done.

 

Not yet. I fly out next Sunday. I'll be in Cali for a month on leave where my activity will more than likely suffer. I'll be in Washington (Ft. Lewis McChord) on July 27th, which is when I have my "settling in" phase. I'll spend a week or two getting situated, and after that I should return to full activity. I love the community, and I love modding (in my opinion) more than most of the current mods. I'm infatuated with the job. I never want to lose the position, and the only way I'd ever step down is because of UN-foreseeable consequences that I cannot avoid.

During my leave period, I plan on being as active as possible via Mobile and my laptop just to maintain my activity and my logs. I'll do whatever it takes to keep my logs up to par while I'm "away" and regardless of my "leave", I'll always be active here on sythe.

 

It is temporary, however due to the new mods I haven't been able to handle as many spam reports either, which is where you probably saw me do most of my work before

 

Wait, so just to be clear. He is upset that you changed his avatar for no reason and without his permission and when he is upset about it you tell him to "cry more please"?

Very dissapointed in the reported on the 200 usd donar I made.

E-whoring is black hat to the extreme.

Let me explain why there is no way he is telling the truth.

If he says he was a guy and sent people pictures then it must of been via email or something so there should be a traceable email in his sent box. From PRE report.

If he says he was a guy and didn't send people pictures and he said he did get money then he was just scamming clearly.

If he pretended to be a girl and didn't send pictures of anyone he scammed.

If he pretended to be a girl and basically re-sold pictures that are free online he scammed, it's the same as re-selling a guide found for free.

It's true it wasn't part of the rules, I just didn't think everything had to be a part of the rules.

I'm pretty sure if I had dox's of all the staff members and leaked them I'm pretty sure I would be banned even if it's not in the "rules".
OR if I make threats to kill people and there serious even though it's not in the rules I'm fairly sure i'd still get banned for it.


If this wasn't a 200 usd donar he wouldn't be given any leeway

Also, to comment on your opinion on the situation with Sarune, to be quite honest it's not really any of your business. We didn't treat him any differently because he's a donor. And to be quite blunt, his donor status didn't mean shit when his ban appeal was being considered. We all made a decision based on THE SITUATION. Not HIS DONOR STATUS. There's things that get discussed in the Staff Lounge that you don't see, which is what makes up for a lot of what determined our final decision.

It was decided to give him a TWC and a temporary ban as we couldn't really pin anything substantial on him in regards to the "E-Whoring", and the "Black Hat" portion is currently being discussed as a whole in the staff lounge.

 

I am currently on a 2 week project at work that is on nightshift (9 pm - 6:30 am or so) and then I work during the day painting (7 am - 2 pm). Run home get 4 hours of sleep and do it all over again. I'll be working 75+ hours this week on this wretched schedule starting tonight. I also have places to go on thursday and saturday night and have to work sunday as well.

So in short you won't see me much this week either.

 

Punjabi3 - Pretty cool guy, see him around quite a bit doing a lot on the appeal ban's section. Also play Diablo 3 with him occasionally and he's just overall really nice.

Superman - Great at getting the job done and doing what he needs to do, very proactive and good at solving issues.

They be trippin - Very nice off-topic mod, when I accidently got in trouble for spamming, he helped me out with it, actually took the time to respond to me

Video - #1 trader on Sythe in my eyes, and a great mod, always active in the "Report a Scammer" section and doing his job!
Zerkerfist -This guy is just fantastic, always doing his job, active as can be and a wonderful person, always there to give a helping hand if I need it Thanks Zerker keep up the good work!


n4n0 - Great guy, play Diablo with him a lot and he's just overall VERY helpful here on Sythe, shuts a lot of idiots up when they need to be, does his job and is efficent at it.

To reinforce n4n0s point, His donation status does not change anything, it never has on sythe and never will. All of our staff view situations as bias-free as possible.

Not giving too much away, the staff discussed Sarune and his situation and our result is final from a consensus, his business was scrutinised and it isn't welcome on sythe, but he was in no way dishonest or a bad trader, his service, if you call it that, was completed.. without complaint.

we've always said it that a lot of non-staff jump to conclusions about scam reports and such because they never have the power of insight as much as we do.. we deal with reports every day and we know what we're doing, it is your choice whether you trust sarune or not, but the staff have made a judgement and hopefully you will respect that.
