    Ya I can't get on Sythe either, then I saw in someones MSN status use mobile.sythe.org and this seems to be working for me :D Very odd though.

    What's wrong with the servers?
    Sorry guys. It's some sort of flood attack, and I've not been on top of it because this was the last day of asssessment in Australia and I was very busy get all my stuff in on time.

    I've put in a heartbeat monitor alongside the anti-attack scripts to hopefully stop the http servers locking up during this type of attack.

    At least the server isn't struggling anywhere near as badly as it used to years ago when it was getting attacked constantly.

    If you guys think this is bad then you shoulda been here a few years ago

    there were times when I couldnt get on Sythe for an entire day let alone hours

    its a lot better now

    is their anyway to stop the errors ? i try by closing everything when i try to get to sythe but its very slow and once i try posting something it wont show :( or it will double post

    What's wrong with the servers?
    Just an update:

    Basically our disk resources have become restricted over time due to the host (over)selling their disk arrays. Which means we need to change some of the ways the database does things to keep the site running smoothly.

    At the moment the biggest problem is very large threads (over 50 pages). I'm working on a technical solution, but people should refrain from using large threads. If you have a large thread (vouch or shop for example) then have it closed and start a new one.

    Edit: I've also closed all the massive donators lounge threads.

    Edit 2: Superman is talking to all the big marketers to get them to make new threads.
