1-99 Smithing - F2P

I just need to know what to do at what levels, I want to make money along the way too.

Not to get off topic or anything, but I am also very interested in this question too, and whether superheat item would be helpful on the way to 99.

 

Best XP while not losing money is to superheat mithril bars w/ a coal bag.

 

Also, I'm on a level 3 skiller.

 

Your best bet is probably smelting in Al Kharid at first, then smithing steel platebodies.

 

If you have a high enough mining level (most likely), mine or buy iron ores/coal ores, smith into steel bars, then buy excessive amounts of iron ores compared to the first lot, then go to artisans workshop. Steel bars, when I used to do it, gave 100gp profit per bar from bought ores.

 

To what level? I just need a whole overview of the levels and what to do at each level.

 

well, that f2p quest first (im bad with names) gets you to around 21. Then do iron ores -> bars -> plates til steel bars. Then make steel bars til you have a good profit, then artisans workshop.

you put ores into machine thing, then withdraw ingots, you then smith what the midget tells you to.

 

Does it require lots of money? I only have about 37k.

 

well, I would suggest mining your own iron ore if you can. 1k iron ore doesn't take too long and each 1k iron ore gets you 118k smithing xp. Or you could with that, buy as much coal as you can, then mine iron, make steel bars until you have about 1mil, then blow half on more resources, and the other half on artisans workshop? It costed me about 1.5m to get from 1 - 68 smithing

 

I'm just trying to level my smithing without mining. Anyone willing to donate some GP?

Smithing isn't usually a MoneyMaking skill, you'll most likely take losses with smithing unless you become p2p and use superheat ore.

 

What would be the best skill to earn money with? I really want to one day get a Yellow Party Hat, but, I have no idea how.

 

I feel bad for f2p players, such slow exp rates :/
