I do it out fear of getting SE'd or recovered. Its one of those, 3 day or 7 day grade periods till you're basically screwed. Its not a bad safety measure and its worth the extra 30 seconds of time when you log in.

I use them but if you get a RAT, you're still screwed if you click your pin if infected by one of them.

Luckily when I had a rat I wasn't really playing rs and just chilled in the lobby and the hackers got so annoyed waiting for me but then i realized i was infected and cleared the virus haha :p

Well also, for me, if my account gets hacked, it's a pure, so they'll level defense. At that point, I don't give a fuck about the little RSGP I have anymore.

I always set bank pins on my accounts (even my mules - to protect their money pouches), but I am completely shocked at how many people don't bother to set bank pins.

A good friend of mine got hacked a couple of months ago on Runescape, most likely by his ex-girlfriend which he had trusted with his password. What blew my mind was that he had almost a billion GP worth of gold/items on his account, and he hadn't bothered to set a bank pin. Without the pin, the hacker would have made off with like 20M total worth of items, as they would only have been able to access the items in his inventory and on his character.

Putting in a pin takes an extra 5-10 seconds when you first log in and want to access the bank, and in my opinion that is completely worth the extra security it adds to your account. Anybody who owns a substantial amount of wealth and doesn't have a bank pin is quite silly.

Bank Pins aren't that bad, until you have to make overloads with under 96. you have to log in and out and keep putting it in. gets realllllly annoying.

I only have one account that I use with wealth on it, my main. I have a pin on it, such as I have a pin on my debit card as that is where my wealth is.

    You've gotta protect your wealth!

Well, A bank-pin is a neat security add on.

We can never be too confident about the security of our accounts.
