Account help?

Hey guys, Ive had this account for about 5 years, ive had it mema for about 3 of those years. Someone else knows a couple of old passwords and made it mems a couple of times about 5 years ago, can they recover it? Thanks!

 

They can recover it. If they do, you can contact JaGeX and tell them that someone knows your details and then they will talk you through it/tell you what to do.

 

It is possible for them to recover it slightly, but if you're the original owner of the account you shouldn't have any issues.

If you're the original owner, then sure. Jagex can see where you are posting from so can compare the addresses and work out who's the real owner.

 

Im not the original owner, but ive had it for alot longer than they did not to mention the fact, that there is no way that that persons ip has stayed the same for 4 years..

 

It's possible, You should confirm it with JaGeX.

 

It will be decided by who was on the account first, regardless of how long you have had it.

 

5 years ago? Very unlikely they even remember it.

The original owner of an account can ALWAYS, I repeat, ALWAYS recover an account. So if you aren't the original owner, yes there's a chance that your account can be taken from you. Obviously, its not likely seeing ass it hasn't been touched for 4-5 years, but it can happen.

As for random friends knowing previous passwords, unless they social engineer info out of you/the original owner, the acc should be safe.
