the age old question

im kind of getting annoyed with being combo'd/rushed/pjed.

im a maxed rune turm pure, (40 def) 80-99-40. 99 prayer, 99 mage, 99 range.

should i go 70 def? or finish off my 80 dunge then decide?

 

def doesnt matter regardless at what lvl ur at. you will always be pjed/rushed until Jagex does something to change the current system. Id say: stay a rune pure for the time being...its more fun. Also make sure you set up your quickprayers to prevent being killed too much.

 

If I were you I would stay at 40 Defence and Dung like a maniac. Get all the chaotics and wait atleast till the combat update, as Jagex has said they will do "something" to pjing.

 

the rushes are never successful, usually the pj's arent either. i have everything set up, believe me im a very good pker. ive been playing this game a long time haha. Just seems a little less often at higher level/defenses.

You will get pjed and rushed at all levels so it doesn't really make a difference. No point in 70 def anyways, nothing other than dharoking.

 

yeah im interested to see what they do with this update, pking def needs a revitalizing or reworking.

 

I would say get your 80 dungeoneering and then decide. And remember, once you have 70 defence, there's no going back (not to mention you will be a completely different level).

don't get defence, you have an insane account there. You will only regret it

 

Pjing will never stop, nor will rushing. Your combat/def won't matter. Don't level your defence, it won't help the situation.

 

I did what you're thinking about.

I had a maxed zerker (52 prayer 80 att) and got tired of the rushers/over powered turm zerks.

Got 70 def and 70 prayer, regret it right away. There's really no difference between being a zerk and being a barrows pure.

Rushing and pjing still happens.

Sure, you don't die as often with 70 def compared to 40/45 def, but, it happens enough that there's really no difference between the def levels.

Stay a turm zerk, get those chaotics, and you'll be fine.

Sadly, rushing/pjing is an overwhelmingly popular part of the game today. Higher combat levels are not exempt.

 

Don't gain defence, listen to bsgpseller.

I remember when having a pure was unique, and actually having a good pure was unheard of. Good old RSC..

go dung, stay 40def, don't mess with your def anymore.

 

yeah i had an almost maxed zerk in 05/06 sold it and quit rs for a few years when they took out free trade, come back when they put it back in and made this account. yeah i remember only having a select group of people with stats like mine, now every other pker has them haha.

I think it would be worth it. Void gives you the opportunity to hybrid/trybrid very easily. + The bonusses on it are just awesome.

 

stay 40 def, don't just rag melee, which is what 97% of zerks/runies do, combo anceints, quick pray to melee prot, and if you do get rushed/pj'd quick pray up, and cast a barrage, step over once, heal up, whip out melee, and eat pj'er for breakfest, assuming he din't tele after his failed pj/rush.
