It makes complete sense.

1. People may not have maxed accounts, or any decent accounts to stake with, and hence his account provides that availability.

2. People may not be weary of the constant bugs/glitches that are prone to the duel arena, and since he is experienced, he would most likely know about them through friends/other means.

3. People may simply not know how to stake/never done it before and would prefer a 'professional'.
