You just wait till your herbs are fully grown and then do a run? I don't really see the difficultness of your question, isn't this the most easy thing to figure out?

Thing is I don't get how farming works...Do you plant it and then wait till its done then get exp or what?
    It's so confusing.

Yes. Use a supercompost on the patch, plant your seed, then wait till it's done, collect it, and get the exp for it.

Yeah that's basically it. I suggest you either watch a guide on youtube or on one of the Runescape fansites, it's a bit too much to go through all the spots etc in a single post. Depending on what you are in for, experience or cash, you might want to do differrent runs. Tree running ( usually once a day ) is for experience, herb running ( multiple times a day ) is usually done for cash.

there are 5 herb patches and you just plant herbs in all 5 and make sure you use super compost and then wait an hour. you can search a guide.

Search farming on RSWiki, that should answear your question.

I used to do farm runs when I get up in the morning, and whenever I got a spare 10 minutes in my schedule, but it's harder to plan farming runs when botting.
So, I should do it whenever you reset your bot, that seems the easiest for you.
Herb runs usually take like 5-10 minutes max.

If you plan on farming herbs, you should complete the quest "My Arm's Big Adventure", as it allows you to use a disease-free herb patch near Trollheim. If you don't do this quest, you'll only have access to four herb patches. You should also do the achievement diaries for Ardougne and Lumbridge because they offer rewards that teleport you directly to two of the herb patches (not the Trollheim one).
If you want both xp AND a bit of cash, I recommend planting dwarf weed in the disease-free patch and cadantines in the other patches.

They take 80 minutes to grow to full, however you should wait til about 1 hour, 30 minutes incase they have gotten diseased etc.

Every time you come online you should do one, and simply whenever you are free after that 1 hour 30 minutes you should plan to do another. If you are unable to do that, about 5 minutes before you plan to get off, stop the bot and do a farm run.

While botting, be sure to have headphones on and just leave an online alarm on. It'll make a beeping noise once the desired time has passed, do the farm run, and continue botting.

    I personally use this one:
