You first name is Jazz eh? Well I play Saxophone so yeah.. Hehe. I recently went to check out some other subforums than I used to do, and I actually found quite a lot of your posts. And they are definately interesting to read. I personally like to write long replies aswell. I'm not sure why, but a couple lines just doesn't cut it for me. It's also good for my English, considering it isn't my first language. I've basicly learned everything online, except for some words you barely see around. A major advantage of being active on forums has been that writing letters for exams on school are no problems at all

Anyways. Everything that I was wondering so far has already been asked. The only thing I'm wondering about is the question from Freakyhair. I personally spent around 2-3 minutes on this post now, and it has already became pretty long. Keep up the good work

 

It actually doesn't take as long as you might think. Usually rather than just replying to every single thread with a short, stupid answer, I browse around until I find an interesting topic, something that I am knowledgeable with and can help the OP or contribute to the discussion, or something that jars a memory/past experience in the mind that I want to share.

Occasionally I sit there staring at the words and try to articulate exactly what I am trying to say, and make sure it's as clear and coherent as possible. But usually I just pump something out and press send

I know exactly what you mean about becoming a frequent poster on a forum like this drastically increasing your English skills. I have always been very good at English my entire life, and communicating words and ideas through writing comes fairly easily to me. Sythe is just a great way for me to practice my writing skills and increase my vocabulary, and so that is also part of the inspiration between the lengthy posts sometimes ^_^

It's funny, you just reminded me of 6 months or so ago, somebody PM'd me and asked me to remove their signature (that wasn't you was it? haha). They told me that one of their parents had looked over their shoulder while they were browsing Sythe and reading one of my posts, and they were subsequently grounded for looking at the "pornographic image" that is my signature. I've also had it reported a few times by people who considered it pornographic in nature. Silly kids >_<

I've always loved this image, which I found years ago on Google images while browsing for psychedelic art. I've had it set as my desktop background numerous times, and used it for many other things - including my profile on Nexopia when I was like 14 :embar: I've had it set as my Sythe signature for 10 months now and I am starting to itch for a change.. I have been thinking of purchasing a nice, professional signature from somebody in the GFX market.

 

Please don't purchase a signature. The lack character. I think the one you have now slightly defines you. haha

At this point I am undecided.

Not yet :embar: I sent Matthew a PM a few days ago with a question, and I attached my UT in there as well to go over it with him. Haven't heard from him yet though so I will probably just submit it through the donor lounge. I am in no rush, however.

No, that is actually my old neighbor's work. He goes by the name of "Kanie" on the streets, and he is an absolutely AMAZING artist. I have another pic or 2 of canvases he did for me or for close friends, and they are pretty amazing.

He is also a true graff artist. He writes on everything, from the walls in his home, to paper/sketch books, to canvases. But he also paints on the streets all the time

I have always wanted to donate more to the site so I could contribute more monetarily, but it's been very hard for me as I haven't had much money at all for nearly a year with everything that has happened in my life. I am starting a new part-time job this week though that looks very promising in terms of good pay, and I plan on getting my financial affairs in order again. And of course, I am looking forward to contributing to the site.

In the mean time, it would be nice of 50 bucks just fell from the sky into my PayPal account so that I could donate that *cough cough* :laugh:

Good question! I think "Strobe" off the album "For Lack of a Better Name" is my favourite Deadmau5 song. I also really like "Raise Your Weapon" (without the dubstep at the end).

I've had so many emotional experiences connected to strobe, and I love how layered and psychedelic the song is. Listening to it from beginning to end is like taking your mind on a journey, and the song really means a lot to me.

My dream was that he would play it live when I saw him, and sure enough, he dropped it as an encore. It was a beautiful moment during the few minutes leading up to the drop... I just remember the entire crowd swaying in unison with their lighters out and I remember a few tears coming to my eye because it was such an emotional moment for me. Then the drop came, and everybody just started dancing so hard and pushing out their last few minutes of energy until the song ended and the arena lights came on. It makes my memories connected to that song SO much better after that experience! :love:
