The day has come... FPS/Lag fixed in Runescape!

Went to log in this morning and I saw this:

I am actually so happy right now! My FPS went up from below 10 to fluctuating between 40-45ish. I put the game back on full detail, with scenery shadows & textures back on, and the game is running smoother than it ever has before for me!

Post here if your FPS has greatly improved and if you are now enjoying a lag-free Runescape.

 

I'm getting 45-50 FPS, just like I did before the nuke! But still, I'm happy for the thousands of people who can now play in lag-free peace once again.

 

It's kind of funny actually, the game is running smoother for me than it ever did before the bot nuke. It seems that they didn't just fix the damage that occurred after the nuke, but they have improved the FPS/lag from what it was before

 

Just logged onto my mage tank today, and my fps has greatly increased. Glad to see they finally got around to fixing this

 

No more 'loading please wait' whilst doing farm runs, YAYAY! There's already a thread on this, but this'll probably get more attention anyway. Considering the obvious, I'm really happy about this, but since I'm selling my main account (Failing miserably, no offers except scam offers.) I'm not sure how long I'll be able to enjoy the new lag-free Runescape.

 

Oh hell, that's awesome. FINALLY a good update that I'm sure everyone will love hahaha. Maybe I'll start risk pking once again .

Inb4 a new update that completely destroys everyones FPS?

Regardless, finally a great update by jagex, I'll have to check it out in W18 and W54 or other busy areas like that .

 

How do you check how many fps you're getting?

 

press the tilda key "`" it's above the tab and type in "displayfps"

 

So what has it done to bots? I'm using Simba right now and the bots actually working very good, lmao. as for my fps, i'm about 40 on average.

 

Best update since the first of the year by far. Hopefully they keep up a roll of good updates.

 

Finally max FPS with HD and all. They're really making up for the SOF.

 

I been playing private servers exclusively lately but i have to say this has got me considering actually getting my main unfrozen.. imma dick around on a random account and see how much better it is. On a possibly unrelated note my game client loaded alot quicker hmm.

I just pray to god that the next update to come out doesn't completely destroy all the work they just did on the game engine. Things have NEVER run this well for me and I am loving it!

 

50 fps on max settings, and my computer has always been like that before this update? I'm guessing it's because I just have a good computer.

 

Me too! This is the best news I've heard all week. I might consider buying members again, RS runs like a dream, just like I always wanted it to.

 

RS ran at 30-50 for me, but I have a seriously good computer so the bot nuke didn't do a lot to be honest.

 

Is anyone else getting disconnected from the game alot more since update?
