Jagex Deleting Bank?

What is this I hear about Jagex resetting the bank on some accounts?
I heard some people have had there GP and sometimes items removed by Jagex.

Makes me fear for my GP mule :/

 

If Jagex think you are real world trading then they will wipe your GP and also they might take your items.

 

thats why you always sell all the gps you don't asap

 

Does it happen often? I currently have around 500m and make a transaction once a week.

 

This is nothing new, Jagex has been doing this for quite awhile now. It seems with the bot nuke and all their latest developments in the "war on bots" that Jagex are slamming the ban hammer down less, and are instead issuing rollbacks and/or wiping accounts that have been involved in goldfarming or buying/selling GP.

Trading 500M a week shouldn't be enough to seriously put you on Jagex's radar or bring any attention to you, but you just never know. Often what happens is that Jagex will bust somebody who is selling large amounts of gold, and then follow the chain of transactions and wipe alot of people who recieved large one-sided trades from that person recently. So its possible that if you trade with somebody who gets busted, that your account could be targeted (although unlikely, so don't panic).

Try to trade and less conspicuous when trading if possible. Do multiple transactions of smaller amounts, or try staking or dicing it over to make it look more "legitimate". You should look around and try to find some guides that are written on how to keep your accounts and cash as safe as possible - I think there is a good one that R2Pleasant was selling that will teach you everything you need to know.

When My IRL friend quit runescape he gave me all his money, (Blue partyhat) and near 2b Cash.. after about a week of having it, my cash was reset.. That was the only thing that got reset.

 

500m is a low amount for jagex to monitor, id be worried if you did transactions that were 2b or higher.

 

amount doesnt matter beleive it or not.. if its a part of a chain that started with a high amount then your going to be sol... stick to Duel Arena for transactions

 

Keep huge trades to the minimun I guess. Jagex does monitor multiple unbalanced trade in-game.

 

It's a hard thing to pin-point. I've personally helped to xfer 5b+ within the last month, and I've had an additional 4B moved off my accounts without any wipes. I'm hearing less and less about wealth wipes, so I'm skeptical about them now.

Jagex don't touch the items, I have had two accounts reset and both have rares which were untouched but my cash was reset. Most people figured out how to stay safe from wipes/resets.

Yeah they are less frequent but they still occur.

i think you're pretty much safe. The major gold traders trade billions every week.. you don't seem to have that much so i wouldn't worry about it to much.

 

I've experienced this first hand, the only other case I've heard of is just un dude.

They reset stackables that aren't worth massive wealth AS WELL AS in extreme cases reset for semi-wealth worth items.

I've been reset for rune, mysic sets, pots, food piles, runes in a single reset. This was a small shock but its one of the worst case scenarios when your items are reset.

ANOTHER TIME I was reset for 2 ags, 2 arcane shields, a spectral, 2 bandos sets, 3 claws sets, and some other high priced items.

That case scared the shit out of me, but I've also been reset/banned for about 5.5B in cash/rares on level 3s. (Banned with 2 red masks and 2 green masks.)

I have yet to be reset for a divine+ i.e phats, torva etc.

 

I find this thread to be complete bull shit.

 

Don't do open trades, trade your Gp through staking or pking is the safest way to go.

 

My friend got his cash pile reset about 1 month ago. He used to buy gp like once every 3weeks
