Coin jars, do you have one?

Do you have a jar that you throw your change in at the end of the day, I started throwing my change in some old jar what counts how much you put in. Its like 5 years old and I didn't use it. Long story short after 2 months of keeping my old change in it I have got £35.07 GBP in there what is 55.9505 USD, I only put in 1P, 2P, 5P, 10P, and 20P's in there. I think its a great way to save a little extra spending money as we could all use some spare cash right, so guys do you have one of these or are you even going to consider starting one haha, here is a picture of mine.

 

I had a giant jug of pennies that I kept for several years. I was desperate for cash recently though and spent it all. It was $55 all together. Now I never keep change long enough to need a jar. I'm either scraping some up for a 40 or to buy something off the dollar menu from Taco Bell.

 

I have a Pepsi cup I keep in my car, and a few things that are completely full in my room. Last count I had like $75 bucks of change in my room.... Oh and I have a cup holder full of pennies in my car. I need to get rid of those damned things.

 

Yes, I keep my change in a Hersey's tin can. It has about $50 worth in there right now.

 

I have a little coin jar that counts your money for you. I only have $6.20 saved; I'm really bad at saving.

Last time I deposited at the bank I had about $70 in coins I rolled. Always save your change

I have to go trade my coins in soon though, it's getting full. Mostly tips from work, and since we Canadians have $1 and $2 coins, I can expect somewhere around $200 in my jar

 

Yeah it's a mini red solo cup with like 4 bucks in it.

 

Work with a guy, bosses son. same age as myself. he leaves coins around on the terminals we use like a mofo, $1 and $2 AUS coins. End week he goes through and puts them all togther last time he cashed it in $200 bucks worth of coinage, and that was only in one year. Rich little prick, If i wasnt such nice guy i would add them to my coin jar big $20 in total atm lol

 

My family used to have a large container where we would throw in all our unwanted change (1ps, 2ps, 5ps & 10ps mostly) whenever we could be bothered. After a year or two, we decided to count the lot and put them in the coin bags and we got close to £200 (around $300?).

Eh I don't have a jug, but there is a bit of a crevice type thing in my car that I drop coins into whenever I have some, it comes in handy if I ever want to park anywhere, or if I'm a bit short at a drive through.

 

No wai haha. I always seem to lose my coins or idly spend them, perhaps next time I should buy a coin jar?

 

Yea sure, I got a coin jar. I randomly throw coins in there as a game everyday ^_^

 

I have one but I usually end up emptying it a couple times a month lol

 

nope...me and my gf try to start them..but we end up spending the money on a bottle of pop or smokes...

 

I use a cashew container lol. At the end of each school year I usually have around $300 in there because when I go grocery shopping I only pay in cash, therefore lots of change.
