Road to a Fantastic Account [Phat, Turmoil, Storm of Armadyl, Chaotics, Overloads]

ITT I document my road to what I define as a fantastic account. Over the next 12 months or so I will be knocking off a set of achievements which I've always dreamed of doing, but have never had the time to complete. I will be doing all of this through pure grind; no bots, no RWT, no powerleveling. My main focus will be on combat and wealth, as PVP and PVM are the two aspects of the game I enjoy most. Any support/tips is greatly appreciated :love:

At the time of writing (28th March 2012), I have:

A 50 million coin cashstack.



A Simplified List of My Goals
Storm of Armadyl (270 Quest Points, 76 Crafting, 77 Agility, 76 Mining, 65 Herblore, 66 Thieving, 50 Runecrafting, 65 Farming, 62 Fishing)
99 Magic (Barraging Rock Lobsters. Should cost around 30m)
99 Range (Chinning at Ape Atoll. Should cost around 20m)
80 Summoning (Farming crimsons at Rock Lobsters)
95 Attack (Armoured Zombies/Ape Atoll. Should take 20 hours)
Overloads (Following Runescape Wiki training guide. Should cost 107m (without use of bonus experience weekend).
95 Prayer (Dragon Bones at Gilded Alter. Should cost 112m)
PartyHat (Flipping. This goal is what I look forward to the most :love: )
Chaotic Rapier (and/or Chaotic Maul) (Yuck. Should take 2 weeks or 100m. Undecided on whether to leech).​

Quests completed after starting date:
Slug Menace - 22nd April - Proselyte Armour + 3.5k Handy RC experience.

My Current Goal is: 500m​

To achieve my goal of 500m I will be flipping items for an hour daily, and recording the profit I make here. It should take me around 2 months to make 500m.

Days 1-5:
1. 48.55m
2. 53.592m
3. 59.5m
4. 62.5m
5. 65.5m
Total profit: 17m. Just under 30% increase in 5 days.

Days 6-10:
1. 69.1m
2. 71.2m
3. 75.3m

I took a 2 week break here. I am restarting the merchanting log with 78m (15 days of Kingdom of Miscellania jumped me from 75 to 78m)

Yeah I have flipping down pat; just wish I had more money to flip with haha.

Had some trouble today flipping. It's much more difficult over the weekend because there are more people trying to flip the items. Very frustrating to only turn a profit of 3m.

Damn bro this looks like the beginning of an amazing progress log and journey towards your biggest goals!

It's inspiring to see somebody shooting so high.. alot of those goals are going to take alot of hard work & cash to complete, but every single one of them is doable if you keep at it. I am really looking forward to following this log as it unfolds, so make sure to keep it updated daily with lots of pictures!

Your flipping log is really cool too, and it looks like you know what you are doing and are already making really good cash. I may have to get some tips from you.

 

Loving the idea of showing your exact cash buildup day-by-day.

If anyone is interested I am taking a two week break from RuneScape and sythe for a variety of reasons. I want to prove to myself that I'm not addicted and I also have some exams coming up.

I'm back from my break only to find out that flipping has been nerfed. It's going to be a fair bit harder to make money now, but I'll still try my hardest. I've thought about resorting to luring (which I'm very good at) but I really don't like doing it. It's such a bad feeling to know that you've tricked someone into giving you the gold they've worked hard for.

This is really bad news man

Don't let it discourage you though, there are other ways to make cash. You have pretty good stats, so maybe you could try your hand at PVM? Get that Dungeoneering up until you have a rapier + 85 dung, and then go camp Frosties for a few weeks

There is a Frost Dragon progress log floating around in this section, and you can see for yourself just how fast the money is. It is still one of the best methods out there, and you have just about everything you need except the dung level.
