Whats the difference in the two.

Simba - Pascal | SRL, Color and Shapes Detection
Scar - Pascal | OSI, Color and Shapes Detection


I use to use scar back back when kaitnieks was still up... When i came back, I assumed simba was just the revitalized scar... I know they are basically the same, but currently which is better? both of the forums seem to have a large community. I see that scar is OSI and simba is SRL.

Could someone educate me on the differences, Pro's and Con's?

 

It depends on your definition of 'better'. The biggest difference between the two is Scar is closed-source and is further developed by just one person. Simba is open-source and developed by anyone who wants to contribute to the cause.

 

simba is open, you can make your own bots/scripts.

 

You can make yoru own script on any one of them. Both OSI and SRL is open source, its just the actual program it self (scar and simba) is close source.


Also, jagex can NEVER take them down, unless a new stupid law is introduce, even so it would be hard.

 

I'd roll with Simba purely because Freddy can ditch SCAR whenever he wants. Simba has a huge support background with many talented programmers who would never let it die.

 

Simba will not work for the life of me...Im not shitting you I have tried every guide out there..I will correct one error than another pops up.. Scar doesent do this to me.. Ok i just wasnt sure which would be better... I guess they are both capable of the same things?

 

Huh? Scar is closed source, yes, but Simba is open, just as much as SRL or OSI.
