What to buy before you quit?

Hey I am quitting soon and I want to invest all my cash into a large number of a certain item. Last time I kept santa and it went up like 30m as I came back right after it plummeted, but then when I cam back salmon were selling for 140gp each. And when I left one salmon was around 40gp, so if I would have invested all my cash into salmon I would have tripled my cash without doing anything.

Anyone know any item that you can see climbing up?

 

If you are quitting then why not just sell it for rl money?

 

What kebal said, no point in 'investing' if you're going to be quitting anyways, might as well get as much $$$ you can get for it.

 

He might just be quitting for a certain amount of time, and might be coming back after the school year is over or something of that nature. I suggest investing in something that will not crash if bots come back (salmon) Because you don't know if bots will be back or not. Do something like a santa or a h'ween mask.

Sell your GP and rebuy your GP back.

I wouldnt be suprised if you came back in 3 years and GP was going for 10c/m lol

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised either.

Imo you should sell your Rs accounts and GP. Without them hopefully you will be able to permanently kick the habit.

 

As time goes on, with the release of the old wilderness and the fact that no new updates that can remove items from the game will occur, investing in an item isn't really a great idea.


The amount of each item in the game will only continue to rise, therefore lowering the GP.

I'd say try Mud Runes, but that's a random guess on my end.

 

Try rares, they always are climbing and no one wants to sell them, so if you get your hands on a few you got good money.

 

Thanks for the opinions everybody, and the reason i am looking for something to invest my gp into is that i will be quitting in April and then quit till September so I dont waste my time ont his game in the summertime. Not sure if I will be coming back in September or not, but if I do come back it would be nice to see my gp tripled or something of that nature.

 

In that case it would really be best to sell your rsgp, and buy it back if you return.

Never invest in non rare items expecting them to go up in the long run. Go with the santa hat.

 

Items generally rise during the summertime because more kids are playing during that time period.

Because you're quitting for such a short time period, it's going to be kind of hard to see a huge rise in your items. You'll more than likely lose money.

You're better off buying a rare than a raw material because you never know what update may happen in which you'll lose money.

If you really want to buy something that's not a rare, I would suggest, bandos/ags/claws/etc. Those items generally rise during the summertime. Same with whips. Although, you should probably log in at some point before summer ends to sell those items. That is, before summer is over.

 

In my opinion, I think it really depends on how long you will quit for runescape. As what people have suggested, and I would agree, buy some discontinued item if you r quitting for a short period. If you r not even gonna come back, then i highly recommend you just simply sell everything into real life money, so that you won't even come back and get addicted again.
