MM Def Rewards

Well I had a 1 defence pure that I had accidently got the MM defence reward on. And now I am wondering if it is possible to turn it into a zerker with 45-47 defence and no turm or not.

 

You can still go turm zerk with about 2-3k exp till 46 defence.


Edit: With the mandatory quests for B gloves, Lunars, Turm .. you would have originally quested it to 42 then trained to 45 which is about 20k exp - aka the MM reward. But zerkers just prefer to continue to quest it for other misc items/areas such as access to Brine Rats - (Olafs Quest 15k exp).

Yes you can still go zerk, even with barrows gloves. It used to be necessary to get the MM reward in order to go zerk, now there's just an alternate route to just travel.

You're completely okay, just continue to quest and become a zerker.

Haha, I remember 3 years ago working my ass off doing MM thinking i'd only get attack/strength xp. Then BAM 33 defence out of fucking no where.

Now I'm a maxed zerker with 6 99s

 

pick your quests carefully

 

It is most likely still possible to get barrow gloves + turmoil + vengeance + hand cannon. However, it depends if you got 20k or 35k defence xp.

Barrow gloves
Dragon Slayer (18.650) + Nature Spirit (2.000) + Heroes (2.800) = ~23.500 defence xp to get.

Vengeance
The Fremmenik trials (~3000 xp) = ~26.500 xp total

Turmoil
What Lies Below (2.000) + Defender of Varrock (10.000) = ~38.500 xp total

Hand cannon
Between a Rock (5.000 xp) = ~43.500 xp total

Depending if you got the 20.000 xp or 35.000 xp the following levels will be the result.
[ LVL OF.. ]: Exp 63,500 = Level 45
[ LVL OF.. ]: Exp 78,500 = Level 47

You will most likely have taken the 35k att/str xp reward so you can still get everything you will need. However, you will miss out on a couple quests that aren't useful yet - but they might become useful in the future.
