so all this talk and people ranting omg I want the old wildy back, well it is actually pretty lame.

Am I THE ONLY PERSON who longs for the long lost bh worlds ? ok the drops might not always be good , but the whole concept .. the waiting at the g.e. to destroy some kid rushing to the safe zone.

squeal of gay? ok cool give people tons of free items potentionally huge value, but wait you cant trade them? so let me get this right jagex you a destroying the games economy by taking mega millions of buisness away from people that work so hard in rs to just give it away ? to give someone the item for free ( with no actual value ). and I swear if you can pk with the godswords I will be so pissed. How is it fair to have a legit risk of 28mill with ags in wildy to pk and some kid kills you with a gs that was for free and is worth nothing.

trust me your not the only one pissed at jagex atm. iv been pissed at them for the last umm 5 years.

i also do miss pvp worlds it was a good concept and should be brought back even if its only one world or 2 worlds.

 

and to prove that point you remember bh worlds almost always had above 1400 people at any given day or hour.. and now its like 300 and 500 and it is more laggey than ever its wack

 

Before this turns into a big ol' rant thread, why not spill this in the RSOF? On a side note, I agree 100% with your logic here, their recent ploys could definitely use justification.

 

Obviously, most people miss the old BH, and even more the Old School pking, but it is what it is, and what it is, is that Fagex completely butchered RS.

 

dont quote me on this.. but i think the only untradables are the headpieces.. i think godswords are trade-able.

 

What is interesting is........ if your a free member and spin the wheel, you can land on a super rare item for example a divine, .. it says to claim the price you must subscribe , therefore you subscribe and get it. I wonder if f2p players have a higher chance of landing on a super rare because jagex is in dire need of subscriptions , just a thought

PvP worlds / BH worlds were absolute rubbish.

The actual Bounty Hunter caves in wilderness for PK'ing I had a fair bit of fun on, but they certainly didn't even come close to old school PvP.

The thought of even going back to an EP system disgusts me :sick:

 

I think everybody with these rants should take them to the RS Official Forums and rewrite them to contain constructive, well thought out arguments and pleas towards Jagex to stop these desperate updates.

That is what I did atleast. Posting them here on Sythe doesn't help much unfortunately, but if everybody comes together and literally swamps Jagex with non-malicious negative feedback, there may be a small chance that they will actually listen to the players and try to save this game before its too late.

It is unlikely, but worth a try. I really don't think they give a shit anymore though.

I preferred bh aswell. Now'a'days you get no loot as everyone safes like crazy.

i wish they never brought bh in the first place and never took out the original pking. Everything would be so much better, but since they did, everything is ruined

Hasn't there been rumors that bounty hunter is returning? I've been told by a few people that it's coming back.

I'm not going to lie, BH worlds were great for moneymaking but hybridding and such is a lot easier with the "old wilderness" re-released, but the FPS drop is bleh.

 

I like the wildy as it is. Bh worlds where ok but still if it means brining in ep then no. I hated the ep level thing. And the new wheel is a good update, prices won't crash to much. Just panic sellers currently. If you die with one of the lucky items then you lose it and considering how rare it is to get I do not think you will see loads around.

 

Wilderness > BH

However I have to highly agree with you about the introduction of the Squeal of Fortune.

I have no idea what that theme even relates to (referring to the 'squeal' part).

I'm sure it will be removed in the near-future.

 

While I dont completely agree with OP, I too fear for the future of runescape. Its disappointing seeing the game of my childhood descend into a blisteiring storm of bullshit for money. I hope it can still be saved.

Well considering they've removed or changed pretty mostly ANYTHING classic about RS. Even the songs, armour, sounds and Font... they're just ruining it more and more with shitty updates. But I agree with you.
