Major negative update to effigies

I was just reading the RS updates this morning when I came across this:

Discuss. Personally, this sucks for me as I have been saving up all my effigies from Slayer and have about 25 at the moment, NONE of which I can open myself...

What do you guys think about this? How do you think SUOMI feels? :laugh:

 

Wow, i bet this has annoyed quite a few people.

I didn't think they dropped that often though as i haven't managed to recieve even ONE yet. lol.

 

It's a good update. It was quite ludicrous when farming effi was the fastest rc xp/h and not rc itself.

 

This is insane, there barley drop for me as it is, now the drop rate is reduced?!? FML

 

This is retarded, it didn't harm anyone before the update. In fact, it made for some pretty epic screenshots when people had like 150 of them. Plus the drop rate is reduced? Wow, Jagex sucks.

 

I know man, I agree with you.

Like I said, I have 25 banked right now but do you know how long its taken me, and how many monsters I have killed, to get those 25 effigies? I maybe get 2-3 per week if I am lucky and I train Slayer literally for every second that I am on RS.

Most of the people who horde effigies are guys that have access to very high level monsters like ganodermic beasts, glacors etc, or people who are rich like SUOMI and can afford to waste hundreds of thousands of cannonballs cannoning monstrous cave crawlers for effigies. In my opinion, you should be able to do whatever you want with your effigies if you have worked hard to be able to fight monsters that drop them often.

 

Another dumbass update. Way to ruin the game further Jagex. What does it matter what a player does with the effigy that they earner? Honestly..

 

One more retarded update which was done just for the sake of updating.

I know for a fact guys that this has really annoyed the 'Number1 Boss' lol he'll probs make a update about how stupid it was etc , looking forward to it!

 

Oh wow, that's so annoying. So many people were banking effigies and making some crazy vids of going for max cape or 200m xp in a single skill. Personally I dislike this part of the update a lot.

don't really see it as a problem, i normally got one per slayer task and used it as soon as i got it, i had 40 stock piled at once, and it took three days to get them all assisted. only people it may hurt is the ones who where planning on opening themselves.

 

The drop rate has also been decreased though, so the chance of even getting an effigy drop in the first place is much rarer now.

As for not being able to stockpile, that really all boils down to personal decisions. Personally, I like to horde my effigies and use them all at once as it makes quite a noticable difference in your exp gain. For example, gaining a couple of levels in one go.

Technically you are getting the exact same amount of exp if you just use the effigies as you get them, but I don't find its as noticable for me if I am getting 20k exp here, 10k there etc. I would rather save them up and knock off 1m exp all in one go.

 

The only reason I hoard my effigies is to open them all by myself. I'm slowly getting all the requirements to boost them.

Jagex is stupid. Should have limited 1 effigy drop per day or something. This prevents people from actively hunting for effigies; instead, now they are just screwing over people who collect effigies for personal use.

 

Meh..effigies are sort of bs anyway. See people with 99 RC that didn't even train the skill. That is ridiculously stupid.

 

This is an update that doesn't effect me, but I like it, just another step in the right direction to make the game a little more challenging.

 

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck I was depending on effigies for 89-99 runecrafting...

suomi dosent bank the effigys he uses them right away, and i doubt the rate is so much probs like 961 kills/effigy at crawlers now? (761) before
