F2p Ranging

I'm currently out of members and decided to train range while in f2p I'm in the Volcano dungeon on lessers with iron arrows, Range lvl is currently 86. I'm looking for speed xp not so much drops. Any other suggestions to speed this up.

 

Switch to better arrows. Other than that there's not much else you can do.

 

Iron isn't that bad for training tbh, but Mith would be great if you have the funds.

 

Try monsters down in the security stronghold?

Fresh crawlers I got around 30k/h without picking up any of my arrows and made some cash by picking up the runes.

 

Steel or mith arrows as an upgrade, and find an area that's packed with monsters, Tenko's idea of the stronghold isn't a bad thought.

 

I tend to disagree with the above posts about monsters. Unless things have changed, those demons are usually plenty available that you never have to wait for responds. Their low defense makes them perfect.

You can always just experiment an hour at each and see which gives the best rate.

The best thing to do would be to upgrade to steel arrows then camp the demons.

 

I just recently trained from 71-73 range in that wilderness dungeon at Greater Demons. There is a great safe spot between Greater Demons and Hell Hounds.
I would have killed Hell Hounds but the only thing in f2p they drop is bones. Figured with Greaters you can at least get some sort of drop.

 

Well when i was training my main at range i went to the lesser demons and i would recommend going there to anyone playing F2P . Obviously if you become members there are much better places.

 

I think Ankous are good for range, but it might have been melee so don't bank on that.

 

Ankous are good for melee, Ive never used range on them but I doubt it would be good.

 

upgrade to steel arrows and go to flesh crawlers/zombies in the stronghold. both of them are hostile if you're not running a script.

 

You could try the spiders in the stronghold of security, they have weakness to everything so iron arrows would be fine.
