Hello, Sythe Community! Since JohnK's departure, I was wondering whether or not SytheMonthly will go on, so I've decided to take it over, hopefully I wont mess anything up!​

Sorry to disappoint, Troll! I'm here for the community! Well, guys, it's a new year! 2011 has brought us many laughs, lots of drama, and many memories! We're sure to make this year even more amazing than before! January has been a month filled with a substantial amount of changes/happenings, and I'm exited to get started! Without any further ado, here's the January edition of SytheMonthly, enjoy!​

Software Market Section Launched

After a suggestion which had numerous support, Govind has added a section in the Market for software! The administrative team have considered new fun ranks! There was competition that took place with over 300 ranks being made, in the end six were selected, and the users who made them have received their created rank:

Vbulletin 4 Update!

This is a big one, the administrative team has decided to upgrade to Vbuletin 4! With this being said, when the update comes, there will be a lot of great changes to Sythe! I'm sure you've seen some suggestions being denied due to this version of VBulletin doesn't support it! Anyway, I can go on about how epic this update will be, but I'll save you the trouble! A big thanks to Govind & Matthew for the technical updates, Alteranz for the graphical updates, and anyone else who is involved one way or another! We appreciate it!

Staff Interview:

Hello, Rsprod, thanks for accepting to be on this edition of SytheMonthly!

RsProd: Not a problem, my pleasure.

Let's start with the basics, how did you find Sythe, and what were your intentions on joining?
RsProd: Well, originally I was on rsbot (now powerbot), I started there on an account my brother provided me, which I later changed the name to RsProd. As to my intentions, it's a long story. Over the last few years, I've tried to quit RS multiple times (all of them failing). When I decided to quit in late 2009 i believe, I was extremely bored. I went onto rsbot at the suggestion of my brother and I started a Firecaping service. From there I was introduced to Sythe through someone that I had obtained a firecape for and I haven't looked back since. Sythe's been my home .

You've been around for a while now. What has kept you around all these years?
RsProd: I'm not sure what's kept me round for so long. The community of sythe has definitely influenced it. When I started, I always wanted to see what it was like to obtain ranks, to get higher etc. So I guess that drive kept me here. I also like money, and Sythe was one way for me to obtain that without having to work RL

What are the most significant or defining events in your Sythe history?
RsProd: Well, the most significant and defining ones are probably the worst. My Pardon definitely is high up on the list. That almost symbolised as a turning point in my Sythe career as I'd like to call it. My demotion late last year also helped shape me to who I am now. Looking back, I'm quite glad, as they've put my in good stead for the future.

Great! Okay, what are you doing in terms of schooling and hope to pursue afterwards?
RsProd: I've just finished year 13 (last year at high school), and I'm now going into University, doing a bachelor of commerce. I'm extremely reluctant to go into further studies I should add. But I chose that to keep the 'rents happy I guess.

What was the strangest thing that has happened to you?
RsProd: Interesting. Off the top of my head the strangest thing would have to be my dreaming. I always seem to dream about things that have happened, or things that weirdly happen later on. Little images etc I get from my dreams I seem to recognise further down the track.

Oh, that happens to me too! Except for some strange ones, like I dreamt The Joker became president and he wanted to kill me... o-o. Anyway, what are your hobbies?
RsProd: Lets pray that never happens ;D. Hobbies:
Anything at all sport related. (Watching, Playing etc)
Going to the beach.
Driving.
Sleeping.
Hanging with friends.
Eating, definitely eating.

Describe yourself in 3 words.
RsProd: Simple, relaxed, Self-critical

What are your plans for your future on Sythe?
RsProd: I was wondering that myself the other day. I've got uni starting within the month, so I'm hoping that doesn't drain too much time away from me. But I'd love to see myself obtaining my OMM rank back + Global. I'd also love to keep doing my job as I am.

Alright, last question: If you mated a bull dog and a shitsu, would it be called a bullshit? Lol, just kidding, any last words before the interviews over?
RsProd: Yeah, it would.

What's been happening this month...​

- Sythe Yu-Gi-Oh Tournament! It already started, but it's a hit! So many users joined, Cosrob had to increase the amount of participants! It's still going on, so I wish the current participants good luck! Speaking of Yu-Gi-Oh...​
