I've never, once, seen a ban for this. You can of course get cash-wiped for suspected RWT, but they don't ban for 'account interaction,' even if it is against their rules. The only information they get is what IP was used, and you are allowed to trade with your brother. They don't know if you are trading someone from another laptop or not.

Yes you might get your cash wiped like i did. Traded 200m to staker, and lost it. To multi log simply open swiftkit and firefox.

Firstly, to multi log, change the "Random.Dat" file in the ".Jagex_Cache_32" to Read-Only. Then you can multi log without the need for fast swtiching of the browsers or anything like that.

Secondly, muliple logging in is, to my knowledge, against the rules, but I have NEVER been banned from it and I have done it a considerable amount of times in the past 10 years that I've played Runescape. One thing I'd probably not do is trade 200m in one trade like 'iff' did, that could seem a bit suspicious, especially if the two computers were on different IP's i.e. a laptop and a PC.

This method is REALLY easy to detect. If Jagex ever starts cracking down on multi-logging, people who use this method will be the first to go.

Could always use a VPS if your planning on doing it on a regular basis, giood way to avoid using the same IP :)

As Blupig says it's quite an easy thing to detect when you think about it.

Another way for solving price costs of a VPS would be your own virtual machine :)
Download Ubuntu, install a virtual windows.
It will get a different IP assigned than your computers main IP, thus not trading with the same IP.
Another advantage is that you don't need to edit any hosts files or such in your C bin.

It doesn't need verification. I'm a programmer and know exactly how to detect it, and it's not hard, at the most 3 lines of code. The developers would just have to make the client check to see if it can write to that file, and if it can't, ban that person. Easy and done.

    They can.
But I doubt they would even bother to ban someone for that.
Can you imagine how many people they would have to ban? damn...
