Real or Phish? :/

I got this E-mail from [email protected], Smartscreen filters thought it was suspicious so decided to ask here:

Just check the link carefully. Not in the email itself, but where it like pops up (usually left bottom).

 

If you aren't subscribed to their monthly newsletters, then it's fake.

 

Hmm the link is from runescape so.. I think its legit

 

I'll give it a hit but still worried.

EDIT: wont open it on second thoughts.

JAGEX WILL NEVER EMAIL YOU ABOUT ACCOUNT PROBLEMS!

All bans/infractions/mutes will be displayed in the Jagex messaging system. Let me repeat this: THEY WILL NOT EMAIL YOU ABOUT ACCOUNT INFRACTIONS...

 

Its fake.
A real mail has:
a) Layout.
b) It doesn't say 'dear player', It says 'dear **** (your username)'
c) Every single JaGeX E-mail has a secure mail icon, otherwise its a Lie.
Never open them, and If you do, NEVER give any info regarding your account.

 

Opened it up on my iPad.

Didn't do anything after that.

Don't bother with it. Take your chances and ignore it.

If it is a real issue, you will receive a emails following this one.

Stating what the issue is, and what's going on with your account.

Also, even though the link looks like it heads to runescape.com, hover your mouse over the link and check the bottom left-hand of your screen and it'll show the link it actually will direct you to.

100% fake they WILL never email you for any offences done or not in runescape.

 

No this seems real. Odd why they are saying "Dear player" rather than "Dear player". But it does seem legit.

It's a phish, they're masking the email I think. I wouldn't risk it either way but that's just my opinion. I don't trust any emails from "Jagex," if they need to contact you, it's through the site.

Ive clicked it and I ALWAYS get pop ups saying it is a Phish it didn't and it is secure green on the left of the HTML

Yeah sometimes (at least for me), if I click the link, a pop-up will say that the following link is known to be a counterfeit link or something

100% phish. jagex never uses "dear player", they allways call you by your rs display name!

Its html email you can use online if you google it. Mail you get looks exactly like jagex mail, but they can choose mail content as html and choose email they "sent" it.

 

Well check your account to see if it's banned or not, or if it has a ban infraction, if it doesn't then the email was fake.
