What does everyone think of the new PSVita?

Its the new playstation handheld coming out next month.

Personally I think its great and will get it for the new games like final fantasy that will be released on it.

 

It looks great for a portable device, and the price on it isn't too bad either. I guess I can't really say much until I get to play with one so I'll be awaiting for the release here in Australia to see what it's like.

 

I think it sounds a LITTLE like the new razer product. Not sure if the razer one has Wi-Fi, but I think this product will probably be the new handheld device everybody has, like the DS. Just my 2 pence

 

To be honest, the price is just a bit too much for a mobile device, it feels too much of a premium. Knowing Sony's marketing strategies, I may wait until they decrease the price or come out with a better version.

 

I actually think I might buy it just for the heck of it.

 

Definitely beats any other portable gaming device currently on the market.

Here's engadget's take on the Vita, it's not in the U.S. yet I believe, it comes out on Feb 22. The pricing is $249 for the wifi only version, and 3g is $300 with AT&T. The organic LED screen, dual sticks, and cameras make it one hell of a device. At the moment, I would buy this thing in place of like an ipod touch, its really a great deal.

 

The PSVita is, for a lack of better word, "sexy".

 

It will fail horribly. Overpriced and expensive games. Buy a good smartphone for similar gaming experience.
