Playing Rs at school.

I know im going to get hated on but fags saying "OH MY GOD NERD JUST STICK TO SCHOOL WORK"
well first off you know nothing of my school. If you have heard of a new tech school then yes i go to those for those who haven't i go to a Technology based school. I get a mac to take home and it's mine for the school year. now each day i get 1 hour to do what i want. and i also like to bot simba at school. ever since the nuke i cant bot for some reason, now im asking if one of you know like what ports/ip's i need to unblock or get my admin to unblock. Just in general what to take off my firewall/School proxy.

Try a proxy, although I know a lot of them don't work with RS. You know you are better off just doing your work. You have your whole life for games.

Lol thanks for replys guys but i cant get on proxys or anything related to proxys, the farthest ive got is to https on hidemyass. But even when i get up rs cause i can get it up using https://rs game client url. Its just at the login screen i get error could not connect to server

 

I'll do the full guide in words. Get a VPS, run SSH on port 443 (https) connect to it with putty and specifying a tunnel dynamic port. Using firefox set proxy to localhost:yourport then play RS.

Have you tried using Siegetank.net/proxy?

Something that used to work at my school was just typing into the URL bar, say "World15.RuneScape.com." And it would work. Another option we did was turning the World15.RuneScape.com" into an icon, which when clicked loaded the world and got past the Schools security.

 

For my school the public wifi is always open but on their computers stuff that was blocked we could bypass with an "https://" we always used for Facebook but i don't know what ur school has running, another think i liked was have my desktop booting and i would just use logmein at school to control it so it would be running all the time and my macbook was never great for booting in the first place.

 

Ok what worked for me in middle school. I would open rs at home (up to log in screen) come to school connect to internet. log in and play.

 

Not to hijack this thread or anything, but is that 100% safe? I've been looking for a good rs proxy for a while.

 

Be careful tackling a schools server. You can get in trouble big time trouble academically.

They can easily tell who has done it by tracking down the student who uses the login ID they're assigned.

The only excuse you could use if you get caught without getting caught for the same incident before is too do this around lunch time, that way if you get confronted with it you can say you left the computer to get some food from the cafeteria, or went because you were called to the office, or a teacher wanted to speak to you. One of these will work.

 

well at my school we just log in with the teachers Credentials, explanation on how we got them?

A kid key-logged a teacher and he leaked it to his friend witch leaked it again and again, therefore all students can play rs without any security vading.

As for the OP's issue, is it a network problem or a software problem? If it's the computer's software that's blocking your connections and not the network, then load XP on a USB drive or something and boot from it then play RS. Ubuntu Linux actually supports USB booting, so I'd give that a try if you want to stay legal.

The easiest way is to use a teachers computer. But if you don't feel like taking the risk, then use Siegetank.net/proxy. It works for me at school, not sure about you though.
