December Edition - The Sequel​

They say nothing is better than the original. Yes, cliche, just like the rest of this festive season. This month on Sythe has been very fitting with the real world festivities, as it has been a very festive and busy month here, too. We've seen such a substantial amount of changes and happenings here in December that I would probably need 2 parts of SytheMonthly to get it all in. But because it's still "that time of the year" I'll only make you read one part and hopefully cast doubt in some of you disbelievers that sequels can be better than the original, lol. Anyway, before I get too carried away... the December edition of SytheMonthly... enjoy!​

Sythe Headlines​

Two New Administrators
Usually this would go under Notable user changes but in my opinion new administration is a pretty big deal considering its occurrence. Nick and FireZ were both very deserving of the promotion and I see good things coming for the future of Sythe under their leadership (no pressure ). Congrats again!

Epic sting operation was
Epic. That's really the only way it can be described. In case you missed it, users who were scammed by "n4n0's MSN hacker" only scammed themselves of being a user here. Over 20 users claimed to have been scammed by n4n0's hacker, however, n4n0's MSN being hacked was staged by Govind and n4n0. Consequently, these dishonest users were promptly banned and removed from our community. Props to Govind and n4n0 for pure epicness(?)!

Star Wars: The Old Republic Sections Added!
New forums were added for the recently released and highly anticipated game Star Wars: The Old Republic later in the month. We are now the proud owner of our very own market and discussion forums. With over 2 million units shipped in its first day, it would have been a bad idea not to set something up. May the forums be with you.

Forum section changes
The Dicing and Item Lending sections have been removed and the RuneScape classic discussion boards only exist as one section now. An additional Minecraft section was added as well as a complete remake of the Graphics section. Check them out!

Notable user changes​

As I said earlier, it's been a pretty festive month this month...​

djweasel promoted to global moderator
Promoted to a market moderator in August, the' Notorious Sythe Drunkard' proves that hard work pays and does not go unnoticed. Globalled on the 4th, it's a well deserved promotion, congrats again.

Blupig resumes his position as a global moderator, eh
Leaving the staff ranks earlier on in the year due to schooling and other irl commitments, the Canadian native returns as a global. Good to see him making an impact already...

2 new Market moderators, 1 new Off Topic moderator and 3 returning sectionals
Congrats to Snow Patrol (Market), superman123321 (Market) and FishFishy (Off Topic) on their promotions this month. Great additions to the staff team. Also, a warm welcome back to three returning sectionals in Scottay (Market), RsProd (Market) and Spraynwipe (Graphics)!

Zerkerfist, Pockets , STAUNCH_POWER, Revolight, sypherz, Delta Squad, Emperor_Nero, dcraig1313 and drchains all attained 2,000 posts in December and join the rank of Grand Master this month. Well done all!​

Staff Interview:

Hey Sacro, thanks for accepting to be interviewed for the December edition of SytheMonthly!
<Sacro> Any time man, gladly.

We'll start with the generic question, how did you find Sythe and what were your plans upon joining?
<Sacro> As many people know, I'm best friends with Giddy in real life. He was my gateway to Sythe, and I frequented the IRC long before i became a member. Shredderbeam convinced me to make a forum account, and shortly after I became a moderator. My plan was to contribute to the community the best that I could.

That was a while ago now, what's kept you around Sythe for so long?
<Sacro> I think friends have kept me interested. I have a lot of people on the site that I talk to frequently, and they keep everything going smooth for me.

What are your fondest memories that you've had while being apart of Sythe?
<Sacro> I really enjoyed helping people as a Personal Support moderator. I liked being able to make a difference in someones life.

What are your hobbies or interests outside of Sythe?
<Sacro> I have competed in many different sports, and I shoot in Extreme Long Range(ELR) Rifle Tournaments. I was on Team USA for Speed Skating, and if I had not broken my ankle I would have been in the Olympics. I was also a top 5 college recruit for my state in Lacrosse. I also played varsity basketball, and hockey.

For those that don't know, would you mind sharing your body stats? They don't call you a badass for no reason.
<Sacro> I'm about 6'4, 202 lbs at 6% body fat. With 81" reach.

Sacro's badass. What are you doing in terms of schooling and what do you aspire to become?
<Sacro> I'm currently studying Homeland Security and Criminology, and I'm also in the SOF Pipeline for BUD/s training, which is the training school for US Navy SEALs. I hope to serve as a SEAL, and then later get a job in a government agency.

Wow, busy guy, sounds fun though. Do you have a job?
<Sacro> I do. I'm a Life Guard.

Are you currently in a relationship?
<Sacro> I am. We've been together since high school. She's everything I could ask for, and she puts up with my crazy life. Whats not to love?

Aw. What is something you'd like to do before you die?
<Sacro> I would like to Proximity Wingsuit fly sometime. The adrenaline rush would be a once in a lifetime experience

Describe yourself in 3 words.
<Sacro> Citius, Altius, Fortius.

inb4google. What are your plans for your future on Sythe?
<Sacro> I plan to serve as a staff member for as long as i'm wanted, and hopefully contribute more if it's ever needed.
