How do you make money off YOUTUBE?

How do you make money off youtube? Just gain subscribers and people will pay you to advertise on your videos? Or is there more too it? How long would it take to get these subscribers and viewers, and how would you get paid?

You can enable your videos for adsense or you can get partnership.

Adsense doesn't earn alot unless you get hundreds of thousands of views, or lots of clicks on your ads.

You can't use licensed music if you have adsense enabled or have partnership btw.

 

Once you've created a youtube account and have been uploading vids, getting views, subs, etc. Youtube will send you a message asking if you'd like to apply for partnership, I'm not sure if you can just apply if you'd like or if you need this message, but after doing so, you could be granted a partnership with yòutube. They'll begin placing ads on your videos and on the sides of your videos and I believe everytime your video is viewed you're given some amount of money. However as just un said, your music availability becomes limited.

 

You can apply regardless but will need a very active youtube account with thousands of subscribers and thousands of views weekly.

You can still enable AdSense on individual videos.without having partnership.

 

I think that, if you get lucky, google will offer you a contract of some sort.
Not sure how much it pays.

 

If this is correct, then what's a YouTube partnership? How is it different to just having AdSense on videos?

 

A YouTube partnership is someone like machinima sPonsering people to make videos and shit, and through views likes or subs per day/month the uploaded gets paid.

 

How much is the payment amount. Like, how much per 1,000 views because i heard they pay per 1k views or something.
