if we're at the same level, why are we required to respect a scammer if you wouldn't?

Normal members don't deal with disputes, nor are we in the public eye. Moderators, especially, should all uphold a certain level of professionalism. Regardless, this is the staff feedback, not superman's feedback.

Disregarding all the other replies because their answer will be in this reply;

That isnt how I personally feel, but you said that Staff are users are the same and we're equal, this may be true in most ways, surely doesn't this mean we're allowed to dislike users just as much as a normal member would?

Im not saying we should be allowed to, because we're not, I was just establishing the fact that if you guys like it or not, staff aren't equal, we have to be a lot more professional of course, and generally a staff members way of thinking is different to that of a normal member, we think differently when we consider ethics too.

On topic though; The sin666 approach (lol) would be better suited for our position, maybe FireZ can take note and change for the better. you still do a good job though, at least he's doing disputes (Unlike some, myself, for example).

 

I understand where you're coming from, and I agree with you for the most part. However, I believe that, like a normal user, a staff member should at least show respect when posting on pardons, scam reports, disputes, etc. You can say whatever you want in the spam forum, or think whatever you want in your head, but when you start posting "badly" on serious threads...

 

^Vouch. Govind had stepped up and picked up the slack and it is perfectly alright for Giverny to be not as active because she told the staff and real life comes first.

I saw that DJWEASEL was just promoted to global and i am happy for him but i fear that the xbox section will go way way way downhill because of this i have hardly ever seen any other market mods post or lock threads in the section other than dj or flying toast but i had to use the sythe live help to get flying toast to lock a thread i just dont think they "patrol" the threads as much as they should dj did but not that hes global i dont know who will step up i see threads almost daily when people are selling stolen accounts or accounts with credit cards on them and other than dj i had to pm each of the xbox section mods to bring it to their attention and sometimes nothing happens at all. Im just sayin im concerned with dj leaving the xbox section will go downhill i have not seen one post from n4n0 awesome stranger and maybe only one from flying toast and unique maybe its time to get some mods in that will look over the section like DJ did?

I'm sure he will still "patrol" it as much as he can. If you find something, simply report it and someone will get to it.

I doubt deezy will stray much from the xbox section. That's his home. Much like Sengira was w/ steam sales. As for me, I don't deal much w/ xbox at all because frankly, I hardly even play xbox, let alone bother w/ the sales. Sorry about that.

 

I will address this to all. I've been on my iPhone mostly but I do keep an eye on the xbox section as N4N0 said. I just can't be on my phone 24/7 when I'm with my GF. I'm spending time with her before she leaves to go home for Xmas. Trust me I'll be back in a few days keeping a closer eye. If anyone sees a need in the Xbox section besides a name change pm me. Its kinda hard doing spam reports on an iPhone.

I have kept up with staff things and with disputes. I have been home like for one day when I was talking to N4N0 on skype this past 7 days.

I can't say I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings because it's going to happen a lot if you're so non-receptive to playful jibing. It's how we keep ourselves here at sythe.org entertained, and the only way to not become the target is to not fall for trolls

Actually, rereading this: I said "so I hear the read vin diesel is a homosexual" and you immediately exploded. After that, like I explained, you were just too easy to resist c.c


But outside the spam, it's serious business and I fairly warned you twice before issuing an infraction. I would never color my opinion or actions against people by what I see in the spam forum.

 

Im all up for people being entitled for their opinion, but you're vastly wrong.. the ones you listed as inactive keep this site running.. just because you dont see it, doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

Besides, your scam report wasnt a scam report, it should have been a spam report, to report a post, click the the little triangle with the exclamation mark in it and then fill in the reason, I'd also advise you to read up on the rules too so you know why your reporting them.

In a way, those people posting were trying to help you - you come to this site claiming that you're already automatically trusted, after not even completing one trade, yet you claim to be trusted from all these different sites that you have been staff on yet no evidence to prove such, this is just like 'Fake Vouching' which is when you lie and deceive about how trustworthy you are.

Trust isnt transferrable here at sythe.org, your merit is gained from your actions and consequences here, I'd advise you, like everyone else that starts fresh, realise your place, a newcomer with no vouches with no trades under your belt, you cant expect anyone to trust you or go first to you, you have to earn that right, prove them wrong.

 

I'll post my opinion just for fun

 

Kero is one of the most active mods right now based on pure numbers. In the last week, cosrob and Moh have done more spam reports than anyone else. I moderate one small section do all of the spam reports from there as well as some other ones, post in most of the pardons and in the staff lounge a lot. If I'm not active enough with all that, I'll gladly step it up another notch. A number of people on staff are currently in the middle of the end of the semester and are busy with school work. JohnK does more for the website than most other people and runs all sorts of events even though he doesn't have to. blupig was just repromoted after a long absence so he is just getting back into his full activity level. n4n0 did not scam you anything.

Like who ever else said this... I'm all for feedback but when it is utterly and truly wrong its annoying. Just because you don't see a moderator does not mean they are not active.
