Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards, did you collect?

I personally collected Magic The Gathering and Pokemon.

I'm pretty sure NOBODY knew how to play the game haha.

 

It was cheaper than $7 a pack. Booster packs weren't the only method of getting cards; booster boxes, starter decks etc, tins etc.


Oh yeah, I remember when Yugioh first came out I always tried and played like they did in the show and learned that's not how you reallllllllllly play the game lmao.

 

I remember trading about 1000 of my cards for one of those things you strap to your arm and duel on the go... Lol good times

 

My 3 favorite cards i ever had picture wise:

Harpies Feather Duster
Mirror Force (my favorite!) always looked cool with holographic
Raigeki (loved this damn card)

 

I remember when the sphinx cards came out, I got them ASAP and owned they were powerful and looked awsome.

 

Collected both at one time; never played with any seriousness whatsoever.

Brothers play(yugioh) competitively now at tournaments and such. I have no interest though so I do not partake.

 

Obsessed with Pokemon from k-4, then yugioh lasted me till the 6th grade

 

I used to collect both games to play against my brother/beat the kids in my elementary school. I bought WAAAAY too many packs yet I always got bogus cards while my friends would buy one and get amazing cards

I also collected Bakugan, digimon, chaotic, and naruto cards...I basically collected what everyone else collected....but to extremes.

 

Of course. I preferred Duel Masters though.

 

I used to do the craziest stuff for my parents to get a brand new pack.

 

I used to find this quite embarrassing
played at some local tournaments kept playing yu-gi-oh from the start of season 2 to the end of GX
Also collected duel masters and pokemon when I was like 4

Had Pokemon, Yugioh and Magic the Gathering

Damn those were the good days

 

I played magic the gathering a few times at a friends house, but it seemed kind of complicated. I use to played duel masters, pokemon, and yugioh on my gameboy. To be honest the only reason I stopped playing yugioh cards was because everyone else stopped. I would still be playing to this day I suspect, which is kind of embarising. But I did love to watch pokemon and yugioh on tv as much as possible.

 

I used to collect both but nothing really serious.. Just collected because other people did too lol

Now I got my MTG cards only.

 

i still have my yugioh cards, occasionally play with them, and i turn 18 in a few weeks.... how sad is that?

i also do MTG, just got into it this year

 

Yes I had over 10,000 cards... I not only purchased them but also won some traded them and traded video games for them. I did it all ad loved every second of it. And yes I did count then and yes it took hours.
